Guest guest
I purchased a water pitcher with the carbon filter that is pictured in her new book. They said to put the filter in the lid and then put the water into the pitcher. Put the lid on and pour it and the water would then go through the filter and then come out. But when I saw it pouring, it was coming through the bottom of the filter, not going through the filter at all as it didn't seal tightly. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I might be doing wrong? Has anyone used this pitcher successfully? Thanks,

I change mine every month or 2 ..... I notice it filters slower as time goes by.... I thought the filter wouldn't work after a while. I think it depends on what's in your water. A lot of different water sources have iron (rust), sand, and other macroscopic particles that will clog the filter. My tap water is pretty clean but has chlorine in it. It's just that it tastes better out of the pitcher and I can take it with me on trips and not have to depend on bottled or local tap water.
