Guest guest
Jim, I don't think you're alone. Many of us have similar stories. My feeling is that this condition is much more complicated and delicate than anyone wants to admit. The bottom line is that Mother Nature does it best - we can only partially replicate what we once had... Regards, K4 > Hi all - > > I am a 57 yr old male. Guest guest
Hi Jim(S), By " mind not connecting to the body " does that include a feeling like your penis isn't reacting to mental or physical stimulation, like it's almost numb? I know I have some concentration problems when I forget what I'm doing during sex. I have a theory that I drove my E2 too low with Arimidex. It was 18, last was 26. Another wild-ass theory of mine is that aromatase also effects opiods, like metabolizing buprenorphine to norbuprenorphine. Arimidex binds to aromatase, inhibiting catalyzation to T. Could it also block metabolite opiods? That would produce concurrent effects: endogenous opiods are insufficient to stimulate arousal, and their receptors would be screaming for them, in effect going though withdrawal, Result: the body craves sex and the brain thinks about it almost to obsession, while ther are too few endogenous opiods to stimulate erection or ejaculation. But that's just my guess. I really shouldn't throw it in with a request for advice. I'm just trying to figure out why my arousal (even with Viagra) is the worst since starting TRT in 1998, while thoughts of sex are extremely high. Coincides with E2 as low 15 from Arimidex. Overthinking again, Bruce > Hi all - > > I am a 57 yr old male. I was diagnosed with > hypogonadism about 3 years ago. Guest guest
Hi Jim! I have experienced some of the problems you are having. Let me say something. Since in this forum we are all being honest. I can say that your mental state has a good role to play once your T is up. I would say that with low T you might not feel like sex etc... but once this is up you will start feeling spunky etc.... That being said if you are not interested in your partner no matter how much T you have you probably are going to go limp. Now, I am not saying you are tired of your wife or girlfriend etc... but it is something to think about. You also would not necessarily have to be tired of her but, holding on to anger or some unresolved issues etc... I don't know where you come from but, you mentioned being bored. Maybe in the past you had a really exciting sex life and now not? Like I said its just something to think about. If you think this might be the case maybe try some things to liven up your sex and see if that helps. The brain has huge control over our bodies. Kind Regards, > Hi all - > > I am a 57 yr old male. Guest guest
I'd say your E2 is too low. When I drove my E2 down to 15, my libido went subzero. It took me a whole month to get my E2 back to ~25 and my sex drive came back to life. Just my 2 cents. > > Hi all - > > > > I am a 57 yr old male.
