Guest guest
Hello, I am a 26 year old male diagnosed with secondary hypgonadism a few years back. Initially treated with clomid for about six months (labs went up a lot, felt better especially mood but nothing dramatic). Since then have used hcg in combo wit test cyp. I am currently an insurance salesman in Cali and have grown very tired of my job over the past three years. I thought about joining the Marines (or Army) in college and now feel that this is what I want to do with my life, at least for the next few years. I am hoping someone has some experience with this condition and military service. Will it be a problem and will it need a medical waiver? To be less restrictive, I would be happy to go back to clomid but this is not a " standard " treatment and I dont want them tot take away my medication at basic training and I suddenly feel like crap- it's not worth it for that. Any thoughts would be apprciated. Thank you.
Guest guest
--- Hy. I do not know about it positively, but hypogonadism might be a condition that might not allow you to be in the military. Several medical conditions do not permit people to join the military, hypogonadism might be one of them. The military life is rough, personally I would never fit there, I do not like to be treated as second, third or lower class individual, nor enjoy nor even want to trry to deal with somebody who thinks he's better than me based on a military rank, to me it is like a childish game, only it is very serious and real, not for me at all. If you are concerned about your hypogonadism, think about joining the military, because of the nature of the military life by itself, you are prone to be reminded about your condition, stress yourself unnecesarily. Not trying to discourage you at all, just making sure you are being realistic, be objective, check out all points of view. If it is really the call of your life and you want to join it and ready for what it entails, go for it. Do not hide it from the military, your hypogonadism, in an attemp to join the military, you would not want to be there w/out your TRT. Best wishes in your decision. __________________________________________________________________ In , teemo16 <no_reply@y...> wrote: > Hello, > I am a 26 year old male diagnosed with secondary hypgonadism a few > years back. > Initially treated with clomid for about six months (labs went up a > lot, felt better especially mood but nothing dramatic).
