Guest guest
Drake, I've re-read the Dr. Crisler docs again and I cannot find where he suggests 4 times a day. He did recommend at some dosages above 5g Gel that BID (twice a day) might be appropriate. Can you include the text in a post where he suggests 4 times a day from those documents? I've never heard of gel being applied 4 times a day, it's either once a day or twice a day. > I was just re-reading some of the documentation in the Files section. > The documents regarding Dr. Crisler's recommendations for T > replacement state that Androgel should be applied QD, or 4 times > daily. Guest guest
Here is a link to his site at the bottom is his TRT:A Recipe for Success and his HCG Update. Nothing in it that states this. Phil asaxon67 <no_reply > wrote: Drake, I've re-read the Dr. Crisler docs again and I cannot find where he suggests 4 times a day. Guest guest
I went to the Files on this Egroup, and looked at TRT.doc posted in July 2005. It states: " I start my guys out on either testosterone cream/gel 5mgs QD or testosterone cypionate 100mg per week. The IM test cyp must be administered in weekly injections, as opposed to taking twice the dosage every other week. Some physicians even dose every third or fourth week, producing wide swings in serum androgen levels. This puts the patient on an emotional roller coaster, increases the risk of developing polycythemia, greatly accentuates aromatase activity, and actually leaves them lower than they were when they started for the last half of the cycle. In order to get the serum androgen concentration to a stable level more quickly, I " frontload " 200mg the first injection (unless converting over from a gel/cream). Guest guest
qd means every day http://www.spineuniverse.com/displayarticle.php/article1344.html Brad > > > I was just re-reading some of the documentation in the Files > > section. > > > The documents regarding Dr. Crisler's recommendations for T > > > replacement state that Androgel should be applied QD, or 4 times > > > daily. Guest guest
Thanks Brad - the sites I was looking at said it meant 4x a day. They must have been wrong. Guest guest
qd means every day------ The confusion lies in the similarity between QID (4 times daily) and QD which apparently does mean " every day " . I'm more familiar with the 3-digit abbreviations: SID: once a day BID: twice a day TID: 3 times per day and QID: 4 times a day They're easy to remember. I'm not well versed in latin, but the roots spill into other languages or else coincide with synonymous terminology: S=single, B=bi, T=tri, Q=quad
Guest guest
Phil; If I remember correctly, when Dr uses QD it means everyday. Kissie Re: Dr. Crisler's transdermal TRT recommendation Yes. Phil veganman23 <veganman23@...> wrote: I was just re-reading some of the documentation in the Files section. Guest guest
It does but from talking to him and reading his posts it has to be a typo. He does this sometimes we all do. Guest guest
It's not a typo, QD stands for once a day. (See " http://www.healthatoz.com/healthatoz/Atoz/hl/sp/home/alert01132 005.jsp " for a list of Rx shorthand). I don't think he would make the same typo in three or four places throughout the document. He's actually using the abbreviation correctly. > I was just re-reading some of the documentation in the Files section. > The documents regarding Dr. Crisler's recommendations for T > replacement state that Androgel should be applied QD, or 4 times > daily. Guest guest
Your right I was stuck on the 4 times a day. Phil asaxon67 <no_reply > wrote: It's not a typo, QD stands for once a day.
