Guest guest
If only it were that easy.... My experience with the zapper and candida has been that the zapper helps to keep some aspects of the candida in check. IMO, on it's own it is not capable of winning the war. Also, I've never seen an army comprised of one weapon either... So much of the battle with candida can occur within the intestinal track beyond the reach of a normal zapper.... That said, I believe it helps me as an addition to my arsenal of weapons...grrrr...LOL Khepri debnjohn93@... wrote: > Does anyone have any experience with a zapper getting rid of yeast > overgrowth? Guest guest
I know Dr. said in her first book that most candida can be killed off by zapping daily for a month. It doesn't work, though. At least not for systemic infections. It will, however, help alleviate sinus problems and skin irritations due to yeast, but since candida's overgrowth starts in the colon, you can never rid yourself of overgrown yeast from zapping alone. The current simply cannot penetrate the intestines, stomach or eyes. Therefore anything living within these are safe from zapping. It is a very difficult and there are a wide-spectrum of things that must be done to keep candida in check. Either way, use it every day and notice the difference, but as far as a cure-all goes, it's not going to happen. Raw garlic and grapefruit seed extract are excellent antifungals as well as Nystatin and Diflucan if you can convince your doctor that you need it. These are what will put a hurting on the yeast itself. Just make sure you cover all of the other bases as there are plenty more to cover before you will be healthy again. Your immune system should keep candida in check...fix the problem preventing this or else it will recur every time. There is another method called plate zapping. This will reach anywhere provided you have the correct tissue sample and a syncrometer. You can read about this in her later books. Ken -- Does a zapper cleanse candida overgrowth? Guest guest
In order to clear out Candida you have to be on strict Candida diet. Nystatin and Diflucan will not help you. It will only mask the symptoms but you'll never be Candida free. I know this because I've been down that road. I know a good site were you can get some basics on were to start, they also have forum so you could use it to ask direct questions. I was following the instructions giving there and so far have not hade any problems with my Candida. Wish you all the best Deborah, Iva -- Does a zapper cleanse candida overgrowth? Guest guest
I agree completely with Iva. Nystatin and Diflucan dont do anything permanent for us here--they just offer temporary assistance if you have a systemic yeast issue. I used to have a great yeast fighting diet bookmarked but I got a new computer and would have to dig it up for you. STill, here are some guidelines: The Anti-Candida Diet. AVOID: Yeast, Bread and Pastries All fermented products Alcohol and all fermented drinks Sugar and all sweet things White Flour In All Forms Malted Products Citrus Fruit Juices Many Vitamin Products Milk and milk products Processed and Smoked Meats and Fish Dried and Candied Fruits Melons, Ripe Bananas and Grapes Mushrooms and all fungi Cheeses + things made with a fermentation process Certain Nuts Foods Going Stale Processed Foods Drugs which promote the growth of yeasts - steroids, antibiotics, the contraceptive pill Coffee and tea Mould, Mildew and Damp conditions OTHER WAYS to Combat Candida: Grapefruit seed extract such as Citricidal or nutribiotic (I put the liquid form of Nutribiotic in empty capsules from Self Health). Camomile has antifungal properties. Rooibosch (Redbush) tea. Aloe Vera has antifungal action and promotes healthy intestinal flora. Pau D'Arco has strong anti-candida effects and is anti-inflammatory. Tea Tree Oil has strong anti-fungal properties. Oxygen Therapies can also help control candida. Caprystatin. This is very dilute caprylic acid (coconut extract). Caprylic acid. Used successfully to treat severe intestinal candida in a form which allows a timed release so it is not absorbed in the upper intestinal tract. This may not suit you if you are sensitive to coconut. Colonic Irrigation. This is the administration of water into the bowel, sometimes with other substances such as acidophilus, garlic extract, or oxygen. Debris is flushed from the region and the additives can greatly reduce candida and improve bowel health. Enemas. These are less effective as they don't penetrate as far as colonics. Both need to be given by experts. Also, I really like Candex which is an enzyme that targets yeast. The probiotic formula 3Lac has also helped us as has Olive Leaf extract. Systemic yeast is so hard to overcome but it can be done. Good luck! Lorna > > In order to clear out Candida you have to be on strict Candida diet. > Nystatin and Diflucan will not help you. See Dr. Jordin Rubin The benefits bestowed by yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, non-GMO miso, non-GMO tempeh, kimchee, indeed any fermented vegetable... The probiotics and enzymes provided by these foods far outweigh any possible negative effects for most people... Also, we're talking about REAL yogurt and kefir (lacto) as one would make themselves or find at a health food store and NOT the commercial garbage one would find at a regular grocery...those add sugar to sweeten which of course feeds the candida... The sugars are consumed during fermentation. Alcohol, even though fermented should be avoided because the body turns the alcohol into sugar. Avoid yeast and mold containing foods, and aged foods as these can stimulate the yeast growth. These include alcohol, vinegar and all foods that contain vinegar like mustard, salad dressings and mayonnaise; yeast-containing foods like leavened bread; mold-containing foods like peanuts and corn; and aged foods like cheeses. Basically we're talking foods fermented by yeast/fungi VS. foods fermented by bacteria, such as the soy, milk and veggies... Khepri
Guest guest
Adding my .02 at the risk of being flamed. ;-) First, Jordan Rubin is a salesman now. Sure there's a lot to learn from his books, and generally speaking I'm a fan, but he is making a huge profit from his products. Let's not be too naive. A while ago, someone on this list or the other list posted that some of the formulas he sells (Garden of Life sells) were not exactly those from which he himself benefitted but were instead modified much to the chagrin of the original manufacturer. Does anyone remember that? It may have been one of the Bolens, but I cannot recall exactly. I've been on this list a long time, so this could have occurred years ago. It stuck in my head though (partially! LOL). Jordan Rubin's protocol is not curing autism, so he is not a deity to me and I cannot hang on his every word. One of the protocols he snubs in Maker's Diet, namely the Specific Carbohydrate Diet, has cured some autistic children however. To me, the bottom line is that everyone is different, and you really have to figure out what's best for your particular condition. Second, a parent of an autistic child who posts on another group in which I participate had the contents of her Primal Defense tested by an independent lab within this past year and those tests revealed that the product contained lead. Some of us parents of autistic children tend to be maniacs about what is contained in the products we give our children because their detoxification pathways are completely shot. Finally, as for our experience, I tried Primal Defense on myself and my autistic offspring (this was almost 3 years ago) and I did not see any benefit. Nada. No improvement whatsoever. We use other probiotics now.
