Guest guest
This morning's NY Times 2/19/02 has an article
by Jane Brody, their health writer, in the Science
section, on osteopenia.

She talks mostly about osteopenia and women, but
also makes mention of testosterone deficiency
as a factor in osteopenia in men, although she focuses it on older men.

Brody is one of the soundest health writers around.

Everyone diagnosed with hypogonadism should get a bone density scan. Most doctors neglect to order one. It's painless, and no big deal, like an open
MRI. It's important because you'd need to begin
a program of vitamins/meds/exercise to arrest
the bone density loss.

Best regards,

Grandslam
