Guest guest
I have been on androderm for about2 months now and I am wondering about the alternatives. My endo mentioned andogel, shots, and implants. If anyone has used any or all of these options I would like to know which has worked best for you. These patches come off to easily and they are making my skin dry, flaky and itchy. I was wondering if shots or gel or implants has worked better for anyone who was on androderm in the past and switched. Also it seems like when I first stared the patch I felt better with more energy and better mood for a while but now it seems like I have regressed to being more tired a moody as I was before treatment. Has this happened to anyone else and what could be the cause. Thanks for any info you can provide.
Guest guest
What is your estrogen level? I understand the gels and patches work great until your body catches on and converts excess T more efficiently to estrogen. Seems everyone asks this same question after 2 - 3 months. Guest guest
Hey My estrogen was normal last time it was checked in early december. That is when my endo raised my dosage from 2.5mg to 5.0mg. So I should probably have my endo check my levels again now that I have been on the higher dosage for about a month now? If my estrogen is higher due to conversion what can be done about that? Thanks for the info. > What is your estrogen level? Guest guest
> I was wondering if shots or gel or implants has worked better for > anyone who was on androderm in the past and switched. I liked shots the best. I take small T shots with small shots of HCG so my balls stay relatively large. > Also it seems like when I first started the patch I felt better with > more energy and better mood for a while but now it seems like I have > regressed to being more tired a moody as I was before treatment. Probably your own production has diminished and/or your estradiol level has gone up. You should get blood tests every three weeks for total and free T and estradiol until you establish the right values. Jim McCreary, screename " macjimco " , formerly " ybeslow180 " . Either cut down on the amount of gel you use, or get T another way besides applying it to your skin. The fat layer under your skin is what converts some of the T to E. That's why I switched to shots. None of the skin applications worked very well for me, but everyone has different experiences. You could also try something which reduces estrogen such as DIM or arimidex. Do you take alot of zinc now? That supposedly helps a little.
Guest guest
The patches conked out on me too after a couple of weeks and I happily switched to shots. Like you've heard here, I think it just gives you enough T to tell your balls to put their feet up and quit working so hard (reducing one's T to that of a 12-year-old girl). The shots are a breeze. So far, my balls are still where I had them originally. Now with more T than , and put together, Ted > > I was wondering if shots or gel or implants has worked better for > > anyone who was on androderm in the past and switched. > > I liked shots the best. Guest guest
Thanks for info everyone who has replied. I will give my endo a call and see about getting levels tested sooner. So most seem to say that shots have been most effective form for t replacement. My endo told me that shot do not give consistent dosage and I would peter out toward end of dosing period. How often are shots to be taken and are there any changes toward the end of dosing periods. Thanks again > I have been on androderm for about2 months now and I am wondering > about the alternatives. How often are shots to be > taken and are there any changes toward the end of dosing periods. Shots worked best for me if taken every week. That way I didn't feel the ups and downs as much as the amount diminished towards the end. See if you can take about .5 cc (1/2 ml) of T cypionate, 200 mg/ml, every week. That is 100 mg of T. The changes near the end of the period will be less energy, maybe more feelings of depression and maybe a slightly lower libido. On weekly shots I was never botherwed by this, but on shots only every two weeks I could feel a difference at the end from the beginnning. If you only get shots once a month, I think you'll really feel the roller-coaster ride.
