Guest guest
Are you on anything else instead of the androgel now? How long were you on Androgel? Most likely your body will take at least a month, maybe longer to get your testosterone production back up to baseline levels (where it was before you started testosterone therapy). This will not be a fun month. I suggest using HCG to help you come off TRT, otherwise, you will just have to tough it out. Expect the painful joints to stay for the immediate term. But, if you have been on TRT less than a year or so, your body will eventually get back up to pre TRT levels... just have to hang in there. Like I said though, HCG will help in a big way if you want to get off TRT. > Has anyone experienced or heard of issues stopping TRT (Androgel) > cold turkey? > > I stoped TRT 3 days ago and now I am having achy joints and sorta out > of the body experiences with a tingle body feeling. > > Any feedback would be great, sorta worried here. > > Thx, > Nick
Guest guest
I am also on Paxil CR 25mg. I have been on TRT about 4 months, but my levels never got above 170, this was with doing 2.5 MG of Androgel for 1 month then to 5GM for 2 months and then 10 MG for the lat month. I was applying Androgel to my belly and spreading it really thin, but after reading notes from others on this group, I started applying it to my very upper arms and shoulders and in a much thicker amount in one area and let it dry far about 10 min. I have to be very careful, I have a 2.5 yr old daughter (that loves to roll with daddy and play and a wife with our son about to be born in 3 weeks. Don't want to get any on them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am actually going to switch to Testim for a while to see if my levels will increase. I have read here and others web sites that Testim may have a better absorption rate. I hope to have the Testim later next week. I am also trying to fing a Doc that can really test/treat me. Thanks, Nick > > Has anyone experienced or heard of issues stopping TRT (Androgel) > > cold turkey? > > > > I stoped TRT 3 days ago and now I am having achy joints and sorta > out > > of the body experiences with a tingle body feeling. > > > > Any feedback would be great, sorta worried here. > > > > Thx, > > Nick
Guest guest
Atypical. If I stop my TRT for even a whole day, I wind up in bed with severe loss of energy and joint aches. Do not stop again, unless you enjoy this feeling. Most don't. Note - I had some minor surgery this past week and had Verced inserted in my IV. I haven't felt better muscular/joint wise in the two years I've been putting up with my condition. Too bad I can't be totally medicated like that regularly! Todd Strange feeling after stopping TRT cold turkey Has anyone experienced or heard of issues stopping TRT (Androgel) cold turkey? I stoped TRT 3 days ago and now I am having achy joints and sorta out of the body experiences with a tingle body feeling. Any feedback would be great, sorta worried here. Thx, Nick

Guest guest
Versed is a short acting sedative narcotic similar to Vallium but without the cardiac side effects. It also has the benefit of producing amnesia for a small time period, so patients don't remember what happened to them before surgery (unfortunately, the amnesia part doesn't work on me). It is available only in injectable form. Regards, K4 > > Atypical. One on such meds NEVER, I repeat NEVER stop this cold turkey. You will or possibly have thrown your body into shock and the reactions you are showing are some of the indicators. Please call your medical practitioner ASAP and let them know what is going on before more damage and possibly long term damage is done. Good luck. Guest guest
WHOAA! I think we're over-reacting a little here! T levels take a little while to diminish, and I don't think your body is going to go into shock. That's a life threatening condition you're describing. I've done the same thing(stop cold turkey) for about 6 weeks so I could have some proper tests run, and I didn't wind up in the morgue! Guest guest
K4: That's your body's reaction. Others will vary. Mine's been well-documented - one particular day I was physically active without TRT (thought I would go a little longer so I could grab a shower before applying Testim) and wound up in bed for nearly 5 hours. I could hardly move. I dragged myself into the shower and then applied the Testim. Once my body began reacting to the Testim (it takes me 2-4 hours to start to feel it in me), I still had further recovery time. Since this bout, my Testim dose has been doubled, and I take it every 12 hours. I haven't been " so bad off " since.
