Guest guest
I have an appt. in about 3 weeks with an endocrinologist, after researching my various symptoms and my bloodwork showing a T level on the low end of normal, an E level on the high end of normal. I have most of the usual symptoms - depression, low body strength, small gonads, low energy, female distribution of pubic hair, high triglycerides, apparently low sex drive (or at least a very low frequency rate - but I haven't been in a relationship for 5 years). I'm also hypothyroid, but have the above symptoms in spite of treatment for this and for depression. I'd say my quality of life suffers greatly, and at 42 I'm tired of it. Since I have this appt, I'd like some feedback on what I should tell the Doc, what resistance I should expect, and how to counter it. I know that the Doc will do a T test, a free-T test, and an estrogen test. What else? What should I make sure to bring up? What's the normal procedure for a first visit? If tests are administered, how long before results, and if HRT is suggested, how long before I notice any difference? If HRT is suggested, how long before a second appt. is made for bloodwork again? What, exactly, should I expect emotionally, physically, and sexually after treatment? Would love to have some feedback from you guys. So may questions...
