Guest guest
Well this is a lot of ground to cover, I have used and still have a 10,000 unit vial of Novarel. My dose was 200iu every 2-3 days. Your dose seems real high. Your nuts are maybe desensitized or even damaged by such large doses, which would account for the low testosterone after stopping use. Your estradiol seems just a tab high, but not off the chart. Your testosterone is low as you say, as there is no more LH to tell them to produce any. As for estrogen being sky high, that is not from the T-E path. It can come from having high body fat, DHEA over doseing, eating to much soy and or yams or other foods high in estrogen. Your testosterone level just seems too low, how do you feel, at that level i think i would be dead. The aromasin won't do anything as you are not producing any T to convert to E. The main point is that the Ovidrel is not doing a damm thing for you. It must not work in men or just not in you, or the doseing is quite different then Novarel. Not enough data on the use of Ovidrel for Hypogonadism. > Hello all. > > I recently checked my testosterone, estradiol, and total estrogen. > Total testosterone was 69 ng/dL (reference range 241-827); estradiol > was 67 pg/mL (range 0-53); total estrogen was 296 pg/mL (range 40-115). > > What I don't understand is how could my estradiol and estrogen levels > be as high as they are when my testosterone levels are so low? Guest guest
Thanks for your prompt response. I was never supposed to use more than 500 units three times a week. My doctor (Shippen) screwed up and gave me the wrong directions for reconstituting the HCG. So I wound up using twice as much as I was supposed to. I don't understand why Shippen is so highly regarded. In his treatment of my condition, he's already screwed up several times. After this fiasco, I think it's time for me to switch to a more competent doctor. Although that might be a moot point if my Leydig cells have indeed been desensitized, as my situation would be hopeless. It seems to me that my estradiol is a bit more than " a tad high. " It is well above the upper limit for the normal range. I was under the impression than E2 comes completely from testosterone, so if I have very little testosterone, where is the E2 coming from? As for total estrogen being as high as it is, I don't have high body fat, although I do believe my DHEA levels are rather high. I also consume a lot of soy and have been trying to cut back, although I've read conflicting reports about soy. Some people seem to be under the impression that it acts as an anti-estrogen, so needless to say, I don't know what to believe. What could I do to get my estrogen levels down? I actually don't feel too badly. The only noticeable symptoms of hypogonadism I have are sexual dysfunction and a potential prostate problem. Neither seems noticeably worse at the moment. Even when my testosterone levels were elevated, I never experienced any significant improvement, so perhaps it's more complicated than I thought. Thanks again. Guest guest
Soy is good for men with low testosterone as it is a weak estrogen that binds to estrogen receptors preventing real strong bad estrogen from acting. Symptoms are more important then blood tests, too many things can throw them off. I even think that the Ovidrel might be throwing off your blood test results. That stuff is real interesting, quite a read. My point on the estradiol being " a tad high " was that it seemed in the normal range in regards to the test and estrogen levels which per your symptoms, sounds like it's a testing issue. Keep track of symptoms, including the symptoms that you don't have any longer. High E symptoms are very easy to sense, low T symptoms are real easy to sense. Get stable on some dose and then you can play with one knob at a time. You can add something new and see what it does once you are stable. > > > Hello all. > > > > > > I recently checked my testosterone, estradiol, and total > estrogen. > > > Total testosterone was 69 ng/dL (reference range 241-827); > estradiol > > > was 67 pg/mL (range 0-53); total estrogen was 296 pg/mL (range > 40-115). > > > > > > What I don't understand is how could my estradiol and estrogen > levels > > > be as high as they are when my testosterone levels are so low? > Is > > > that even possible? > > > > > > Some background: I'm currently using 500 units of Ovidrel 3 > times a > > > week. Guest guest
I've read that hCG (if taken more than needed) can convert to E2 directly.
