Guest guest
Not sure if you should use Clomid if you are already on TRT. I don't have the info in front of me, but I am pretty sure that Clomid shouldn't be used. if you have E2 issues, then wait until you test for it and then start Armidex. How is the Androgel performing?? > Just curious as to how long one can go on Clomid without suppression > or other side effects. Doc started me on Androgel and I have access > to clomid pills. How many mgs should I use a day and for how long?
Guest guest
The Clomid " likely " won't help you if you are taking Androgel. There is the chance but in all honestly likely your hypothalimus will see the T in your system and stop sending the signals. There is some evidence that this may not be true and that the clomid will attach to the receptor sites on the hypothalimus but I'm not so sure. My doctor just moved me to a compounded gel and said I should quite the Clomid. y > > Just curious as to how long one can go on Clomid without > suppression > > or other side effects. Guest guest
y, How long have you been on Clomid before you Dr. told you to quite? I've been on it for about 5 months on and off (2 mo on, 1 mo off) and my Dr. said I can be on this schedule forever. Also, there was another post about if Clomid will help with fatigue etc. My experience is that Clomid helps me greatly with overall well being, but does nothing for my libido. >From: scotty082865 <no_reply > >Reply- > >Subject: Re: How long on clomid use? >Date: Mon, 29 Dec 2003 19:52:04 -0000 > >The Clomid " likely " won't help you if you are taking Androgel. Guest guest
I just found this study. At least there was some long term study (well at least longer than a week) Restoration of plasma testosterone levels in uremic men with clomiphene citrate. J Clin Endocrinol Metab 1976 Dec;43(6):1370-7 (ISSN: 0021-972X) Lim VS; Fang VS Five men with chronic renal failure and symptoms suggestive to androgen deficiency were treated with clomiphene citrate (Clomid) at a dose of 100 mg/day for a period of 5 to 12 months. The treatment resulted uniformly in increased libido, sexual potency, and a general sense of well-being. Circulating testosterone rose from mean basal value of 223 +/- 164 to 879 +/- 171 ng/dl (SD), representing a mean increment of 290%. Mean serum lutenizing hormone (LH) and follicle- stimulating hormone (FSH) values before treatment were 76 +/- 40 and 143 +/- 85 ng/ml (SD). During treatment, both LH and FSH increased dramatically to 518 +/- 302 and 787 +/- 291 ng/ml (SD), respectively. Both serum gonadotropin values are expressed as ng/ml of LER 907. The effect of clomiphene on spermatogenesis in these subjects was inconclusive as either improvement or deterioration occured. In these five patients, serum prolactin was not related in any way to testicular function as its values were consistently in the normal range throughout the entire study period. Serum total estrogen, however, was elevated in all; the significance of this high circulating estrogen in relation to gonadal dysfunction in uremia is not clear at the present time. However, we found that normalization of circulating androgen was beneficial to our patients and that long- term clomiphene treatment achieved this goal by increasing pituitary gonadotropin secretion and secondarily stimulating testicular hormonogenesis. > > > > Just curious as to how long one can go on Clomid without > > > suppression > > > > or other side effects. Guest guest
I am starting to think that Clomid might be the ideal solution to get the Hypothalamus back in action for good and get off the clomid. However, HCG is very powerful and definitely does the trick for me, so I think the treatment should be started with HCG for about 3 weeks, 1 vial worth, then stay on clomid. In about 2 months, try going off the clomid and possibly everything back working again. Also, take ZMA (powerful zinc supplement) for the duration. Possible solve for younger men with unexplained hypo, exercise related hypo, finasteride induced hypo, cortisone cream induced hypo etc. Currently, I am taking HCG + TRT + Arimidex. Great somedays, but a bit of a rollercoaster some days. Would love to just be 100% steady, happy horny everyday... so might give the above combo a try (HCG + Clomid, then just clomid). Only problem is, I am already spending a small fortune on these drugs. Clomid is more expensive than any of them!!! Anyone know where you can get clomid at a reasonable price? I am currently self employed and have very limited health care coverage. Cheers, Armyguy. > > > > > Just curious as to how long one can go on Clomid without > > > > suppression > > > > > or other side effects. Guest guest
I was on Clomid for about 7 months. It was really me who decided to go with TRT. My Doctor was fine with either decision. With my history of high liver enzymes I wanted to try another approach. I could see going between the two at some point, who knows. On the libido thing, I used Proviron with very positive results. y > > > > Just curious as to how long one can go on Clomid without > > > suppression > > > > or other side effects.
