Analog is simply a chemically related substance with similar effects

of the parent. Proviron is Mesterolone, 17betaHydroxy-1alpha-methyl-

5alpha-androstan-3-one. DHT is 17betaHydroxy-5alpha-androstan-3-

one. I do not know of any equivalents to this drug in the US, short

of compounded DHT transdermals. Proviron has all the effects of DHT,

including hair redistribution, estrogen antagonism, erectile function

and CNS stimulation. In my opinion, Viagra and its analogs are poor

medications for a man with ED caused by a partial androgen

deficiency or estrogen dominance. There are drugs to lower DHT or

antagonize its effects, however I do keep in mind that these anti-DHT

drugs are the reason why some of us need TRT. DHT is not actually

the enemy drug companies represent it as. Without DHT, ED, loss of

libido, and estrogen dominance become problems. Proviron has no

anabolic effect at all. The only reason why it has never been

allowed in America is money and politics. A 25mg tablet of Proviron

is about $1,it is taken every day. How much is Viagra? Does it

always work? These are the questions I ask myself. Viagra +

Androgel is an expensive treatment that usually works for ED. A $1

pill takes the place of that in many parts of the world. Mentioning

Viagra to me is a sure way to get your head bitten off. An endo

gravely offended me by suggesting that instead of treating my actual

problem.
