Guest guest
Hi Dave (K.), With almost no scientific studies on Arimidex in men, I can only speculate. I do think it's a side effect, at least for me, at least at the dosage I was taking. I'm " gunshy " about Arimidex, enough so that I don't want to try it again even at a lower dose. I really don't want to say bad things in general about Arimidex. It's definitely helpful for many men. It makes perfect sense that too much or too little E2 are both bad. I suspect Arimidex does something beyond lowering E2, but I don't know what. The excerpt you mentioned in message # 18784 offers a clue: " It (aromatase) also is found in certain areas of the brain in high concentration (often in conjunction with 5-alpha reductase), specifically in areas that are essential for the neuroendocrine control of gonadotropin secretion and sexual behavior. " Aromatase and estrogens are SUPPOSED to be in the brain. Guest guest
Bruce – Agreed. Arimidex did everything it was supposed to do for me except increase libido. I feel completely different than before treatment – more energy, better focus, etc. but I think it shut something down in my brain that controls arousal or something. I'm not totally against Arimidex either, but I wouldn't recommend it for someone with a similar hormone profile to my own – mid-level T (536), high E2 (49.3). Better off try to reduce E2 naturally with DIM, soy etc. My game plan is to stop Arimidex, then try DIM/zinc and lose a few pounds and see what happens. Taking high doses of testosterone would only increase that problem, producing most of all of the symptoms you outlined. - - - - Just another albino black sheep
Guest guest
Hi, If you have been suffering from low T and it goes back to normal after you stop the medication causing problems, you will usually see a very significant impovement in your erections. This may be due to the fact that you are now enjoying a normal T level. Us older guys get on testosterone and also see the erection benefit while the T level is ramping up. I was really ticked off when after a few weeks of TRT, the level of testosterone was stable at the higher level and my ED returned. Reading further on the subject of ED went to Dr. Irwin Goldstein, Boston Univ. for ED therapy. TRIMIX injections have worked fantastically for more than 10 years now. This was long before Viagra and such but the draw back is injecting in the side of your penis. Glad you are having some great success. ernestnolan > > I started androgel a last week and maybe this is a normal reaction > that Im having but I dont think so.
