Guest guest
Can I get some suggestions on some pills/supplements that increase male testosterone? If possible, can you also list where the product can be bought -- from GNC etc, or on the net (link?). Are products like GNC's Arginmax and Mega Men® Performance and Vitality Program good for increasing testosterone? -thank you
Guest guest
Well, any of the over the counter stuff pales in comparison to the real stuff, pure testosterone, or the prescription drugs for raising internally created testosterone (HCG, Clomid). If you think you have a problem, its probably best to see a doc. Its not just a thing against self-treating, its that you really don't have access to any of the " good stuff " without a doctor. Most of that over the counter stuff is pure crap. Arginmax does not raise testosterone. In fact, there really isn't any over the counter medication that will increase your body's production of testosterone. There are other products companies tout for raising testosterone (Tribulus) but trust me, I've spoken to hundreds of guys who have tried all sorts of different over the counter stuff, and none of them work. If you don't think you have a long-term low libido problem and are just looking for the occasional pick-me up, you CAN get over-the- counter DHEA or andro (the stuff Mark McGwire used). That stuff turns into testosterone in the body, but its somewhat inefficient at it (think of it as testosterone light). But more than that, if it is at all effective then it will also lower your body's own internal production of Testosterone, so it should only be used very sparingly (maybe no more than once a week). The best product I found for Andro is actually a gel called Androstederm. But like I said, none of them even come close to the stuff you can get with a prescription. Its like Viagra. Lots of companies claim to have an " herbal " Viagra available over the counter, but even if some of them do, slightly, maybe a little, help your erections, its simply no comparison. The prescription stuff is like a Nucleur missile while over the counter stuff is like a sling shot. That's not to say that over-the counter vitamins, herbs, etc. aren't good to take. Arginmax does help some guys slightly with erections (due to the Arginine), although not libido, and is generally considered healthy. Zinc has been known to help some guys, though be careful because a certain segment of the population gets significantly ill taking the high doses of Zinc commonly recommended (including me). Best to see a doc, though. I don't know anyone who has gotten what they are looking for out of over-the-counter stuff alone, but I know many who have using prescriptions. Believe it or not, its not that much more expensive to get the good stuff, and sometimes its cheaper. > Can I get some suggestions on some pills/supplements that increase > male testosterone? Guest guest
Hi, The pills don't work effectively and cost as much as expert medical care and treatment. You can spend a long time trying to treat yourself and may be using the wrong treatment for something related to pressure on your pituitary gland. Read a good book on the subject, " The Tesosterone Syndrome " by Dr. Eugene Shippen, $14.95 at and Noble. Browse the book even if you don't buy it. You will find some doctors are not well trained as they take their training from pharmaceutical reps. You need to know enough to be able to tell when you don't have a good doctor. Getting good treatment is difficult and pills is something you need to skip and spend the money and time on something more effective. ernestnolan > Can I get some suggestions on some pills/supplements that increase > male testosterone? Deficiencies in a couple things such as zinc might hold your T down but if you already have adequate amounts then taking more will not do much. There is nothing in the way of supplements that will take a hypogonadal male all the way up into the range where he needs to be. If you are 20 years old and already have high T maybe some zinc and some tribulus might cause some perceptible difference by amping you a little more - and maybe it will do nothing. However, there is no treatment for low T other than medical treatment. > > Are products like GNC's Arginmax and Mega Men® Performance and > > Vitality Program good for increasing testosterone? > > > > -thank you > No. Arginine raises your nitric oxide level which in theory and in practice helps with erections sometimes with some men, and not at all with others. But, it does not do so by increasing testosterone. Winter _________________________________________________________________ There are now three new levels of MSN Hotmail Extra Storage!
