Since you are directly injecting a LH substitute (hcg), the effect, if any, of androgel isn't much of an issue. I think you are getting a real effect and maybe a placebo benefit also. Guest guest
erections at night are a sign this stuff is working. I get the same results, even after a while with no HCG, if I inject a 1000 units, I usually find myself waking up in the night quite horny, not such a bad thing. Sounds to me like you are getting the real deal. Eventually, estradiol will likely become a problem (probably sooner than later, so keep an eye on it!) Can't remember, are you the fellow who has been on the shots for over a decade? Armyguy > have been off androgel for 10 days now, and have done three > injections of 1000 units, 1/2 cc, of HCG. I have never had a monitoring blood test in that entire time, doing about 1cc of depo every month or so, cause that's what they told me three decades ago. Since I joined this list I had gotten really educated, and it made me want to learn a lot more. Thanks to what I learned here I met with my endo two weeks ago and told hime I wanted off the depo and androgel and wanted to try the hcg stuff, he said sure let's try it. I am delighted with my response after only three injections, but I am very, very concerned about gyno as I had liposuction a couple years ago to remove fat from breasts and belly and sides. Granted a lot of it was simply getting older and eating good all those years, but my breasts were always more fatty than " normal " . I talked to him about this and my concern about the HCG raising E and starting this problem again. He said we should do nothing now and get blood work in about two months to test T and E. I got tired of arguing with him and have been taking 100mg of Zinc with copper a day I bought at wild oats, from what I learned here it should help suppress E. I also just ordered online Chrysin 250mg pills to also take as I read they also help suppress E. I hope I am doing the right thing by taking these and not waiting the two months. I have gained five pounds and am eating very little and am feeling puffy in the belly and breasts since starting the HCG and I am just hate that feeling. nort828
Guest guest
Ouch! I hate that when I write a loooong reply and my hand hits the wrong button half way through and the whole message disapears... arg, just happened. Gist of what I was saying is: 2 months to wait for a test is not totally unreasonable. It will take a while to see what kind of effect the HCG will have. 1 month would be better for first test. No anti e is needed right off the bat, unless your E is already high from the androgel, which is possible, did you have it tested? At this point your biggest worry should not be E in my opinion, it should be is your body producing testosterone. It usually takes a bit to get T moving up again from HCG to a normal level. After 30 years on the shots... that bit might be a long while, hopefully not though. Low T will cause you to feel like you have High E and just not great overall. But the point is, just stick with the program, tough it out, and get your blood tested when you can. HCG is not an instantaneous solution, it is one that takes a bit of work. Again, if you could get tested after 1 month it would be ideal, but after 2 is not too bad after 30 years on the shots, it will probably take some time to see results. Also, your 1 cc per month routine for 30 years is definitely what caused your gyno and fatty symptoms in the first place. That is not nearly enough t for replacment and your T/E ratio would never have been very good on that little replacement. The good thing is, you are attacking the problem now, just tough it out, adjust as necessary and you will feel great in the end! Might take up to a year or two to really fine tune things to perfection... that's what I have found in my experience anyway, but positive results should come quickly.
