Guest guest
Hello Friends. I have been under the care of my endo for 5 years. I have idiopathic hypogonadotropic hypogonadism. Unfortunately my endo knows more about diabetics and normal stuff than hypogonadism. I am really angry that I had to learn about testosterone implants from this board (which was great thank you) and not my ENDO. I am confused on what to do: Should I find REPRODUCTIVE ENDO??? Would they know treating hypogonadism better? or should I find a UROLOGIST?? If You know of a good medical provider in NEW JERSEY/NEW YORK area please please Let me know. Thanks so much to you all. _________________________________________________________________ Say “good-bye” to spam, viruses and pop-ups with MSN Premium -- free trial offer! http://click.atdmt.com/AVE/go/onm00200359ave/direct/01/

If gonadotrophins are low, you should have a Clomid or hCG stimulation test. Have you had prolactin measured? If it is elevated, a pituitary MRI is warranted. It really doesn't matter if you see a repro endo, diabetes specialist, urologist, internist or a GP. You need to see someone experienced in treating men with hypogonadism. Guest guest
If you can afford it, Dr. Shippen's practice is in Reading, PA. He is the well known author of " The Testosterone Syndrome " . There have been a couple of his patients who post here. Dean > > Hello Friends. > > I have been under the care of my endo for 5 years. Guest guest
Hi, Been receiving TRT for more than 10 years beginning in N. Bergen NJ with Dr. Sipi, now deceased. As a result of my exposure to hormone pellets thru my wife's visit there for hormone pellets she found men were also been treated by Dr. Sipi for low T with testosterone pellets. In discussions with Dr. Sipi I found out about the history of hormone therapy that began with Dr. Greenblatt of Augusta GA who treated andropause. There were more than 100 also trained at that school who are now in their 70's or deceased. Unfortunately there are none of these doctors in the NE US. I now travel down to visit my son in Cary, NC every 4 months and then drive on to Augusta the next day for new pellets. Dr. R. Don Gambrell is in the old office of Dr. Greenblatt: Reproductive Endocrinologists, PC 903 15th Street Augusta, GA 30910 (706) 724-8878 Many of his patients fly in from great distances every 4 months for their new pellets. I heard from D. Sipi that many of those in Hollywood found out the benefits early and were patients of those trained by Dr. Greenblatt from the 70's on. Dr. Eugene Shippen of Reading, PA wrote " The Testosterone Syndrome " which is a very good primer on hormone therapy outlining the benefits of high normal testosterone. His information is vital for the patient to understand when he is receiving poor treatment. I'm sure there are more books but the two doctors above are worth traveling to on a 3 day vacation. As I'm on medicare most of my visit is covered in that area. It is not covered in other areas of the nation. Hope you can find a way to get appointments with one of the above. ernestnolan > > Hello Friends. > > I have been under the care of my endo for 5 years.
