Guest guest
What about LH and FSH? Those are pretty important, they will tell whether your hypo is primary or secondary. I had to have growth shots to induce puberty at 21, and been on depotestosterone for the past 32 years. He says my brain never sent a message. nort828
Guest guest
Ok yes, well you should let us know that! . Yes, no point in checking your LH and FSH, they are going to be non existent so don't bother. I personally don't think HCG is going to do anything for you, I would guess that your leydig cells no longer function and that your body is no longer capable of producing testosterone after 32 years in the 'off' position. I suppose that it won't hurt to try though. Your T level is WAY to low, you need a serious increase in dose. Get your T level up in the 800+ range on a constant basis, and that should take care of allot of your sex drive problems. Personally, I would recommend the shots over compound cream, that would be my preference. But with the shots, you need to watch your estradiol levels, with the compound cream not as much. Just from personal experience, I did not find that the compound cream was effective enough to make me feel really good. Maybe it will work for you, but make sure you get your levels 800+ on a consistent basis. That is a healthy level and there is no reason not to get it up there. Less and you won't feel the positive benefits. At your current level there is no way you should feel good. It is just not nearly enough. Get your level way up, and get on with your life. Guest guest
IMHO, do not automatically run to an anti-E. Right now, it looks like your E is fine. I think the best advice would be to keep on top of your E and if it gets too high, then you may want to consider an anti-E. The idea is to get a balance of the hormones. Baby steps. One thing at a time. Good Luck > And met with my Endo today. > I have $500 in blood work, he ordered everything, total metabolic, > bone density, T, E, etc. and I asked for a copy of it and here are > some numbers: > > CBC Screen(Hemogram) RBC mine 4.77 (range 4.8-6.2) low end of > range and I have no clue what RBC is? > > From the Comprehensive Metabolic panel: > glucose: mine 121 range 70-109 so I am high, above the range > BUN mine 25 range 7-18 I am above range, what is BUN? > > Sensitive TSH mine .72 range .35-5.5 what is TSH? > > Free T4 mine 1.0 range .8-1.8 guess ok here > > Total Testosterone mine 203 range 210-820 pretty low > > Estradiol, Serum mine 23 range 0-52 no idea if ok > > Estriol, Serum mine less than .1 range .2 or less? > > Estrogens, serum total mine 130 range 130 or less? > > Estrone mine 32 says adult mail range 15-65 ok? > > Insulin like growth factor mine 143 range 90-360 > _______________________________________________________ > My endo said my testosterone was quite low, taking 5mg androgel a > day now, he said my estrogen was ok.
