Guest guest
I have been using T supplements (now Androgel) for several years. One symptom I have had during various time periods is aching testicles. This is to the extent that I try to get relief by applying heating pad to the area, or sit in hot bath. Have mentioned this to PCP but get no reaction. Right now they are aching so bad I'm seriously distracted. I might add that their size is right at the bottom end of the " normal " range for adults. I am 69 years old. Have made web searches on " aching testicles " but haven't found where this is consistently thought to be symptomatic of any specific condition. Thoughts? Guest guest
You'll get good results with a Google search using keywords: TESTICLE TESTICULAR PAIN. Like: http://www.emedicinehealth.com/articles/18809-1.asp " Epididymitis: An inflammation of the epididymis is usually due to an infection. It is the most common cause of testicular pain in men older than 18 years. " If that's what it is, it's treatable with antibiotics. I guess " ache " is not an official medical term. I'll skip the obvious cynical wisecracks... Bruce > > I have been using T supplements (now Androgel) for several years. > > One symptom I have had during various time periods is aching > testicles. Guest guest
Hi I had a low pain in my testis but later found out it was my prostate I have had this for years on TRT. Then when I joined here I found out about high E2 Estradiol and had it tested and was very high now that I have it down to normal the pain is gone and my Dr. said my Prostate got smaller. This could be your problem have you had it checked. http://www.lef.org/protocols/prtcl-130.shtml#too Phil on <specialdoc2002@...> wrote: I have been using T supplements (now Androgel) for several years. Guest guest
Thanks Philip. ... Last month I insisted that my PCP check my level of E2 in addition to total and free T. Couldn't tell if she really understood the logic of that but she did it anyway. After results came back, the response was to cut my Androgel dose from 10 to 5 gm per day. She seems to prefer that patient NOT receive the blood test results, just take her word for it that a particular response is appropriate, but I have an appointment in a couple of weeks and believe me we ARE going to get to the bottom of this. I would go to an endocrinologist in a minute if I could find one around here that understands this stuff. May start to look harder after this next appointment!! philip georgian <pmgamer18@...> wrote:Hi I had a low pain in my testis but later found out it was my prostate I have had this for years on TRT. Guest guest
Hi if I were you I would demand you get a copy of your blood tests the hell with her word. What the hell was your Total and Free T when she lowered you androgel to 5 grams this would make me sick big time. It took some time to get my Dr. to come around on high E2 but now that he has been into it he checks all of his men on TRT. And new ones he checks them and if they are low on T and high on E2 he gives them Arimidex to get the high E2 down. And by doing this most don't need to go on TRT because getting there E2 down makes there T go up. As for finding a good Endro good luck I have never found one. The last one I went to wanted to stop my T meds for 3 months to retest me I asked him how many men does he treat for low T. and he said I was his first. I was out of there so fast and he still sent me a bill. Try to work with your Dr. learn as much as you can so you can question what she is doing with out her turning you off. You are paying the bill if she is any good she will come around tell her you talk to other men that have the same problem and you need to be treated the best you can get. Guest guest
Thanks again, Phil. Your thinking and mine are tracking 100%. This PCP is pretty good in general and I don't want to alienate her unnecessarily, but will make a concerted effort to push her in the direction you suggest! Over the years I have had six different PCP's and they can be A LOT worse than this one, trust me on that. > > I have been using T supplements (now Androgel) for several years. > > One symptom I have had during various time periods is aching > testicles.
