Guest guest
His estrdiol is <20? do they have a number or just <20? It could be too low? No DHT test? Just bought Shippen's book and in it he say's it can take even up to a year to get back to normal. How long has he been on TRT? Low estrdiol and or DHT can result in low libido. Also i would suggest he get on HCG, it has a profound effect on my libido. 200IU a few times a week is great. Also get a thyroid panel done and maybe add Armour to the mix. > Hi Everyone, > > My hubby went to the endo and we got his test results. > > testos free 3.3 rng % > total testo 489 rng 240-950 ng/dL > testost free 16.1 rng 9-30 ng/dL > estradiol <20 rng 0-56 pg/mL > hct 47.5 rng 40-52% > wbc 4.7 rng 3.8-11X(10)3/uL > rbc 5.15 rng 4.5-5.7 x10(6)mcL > hgb 16.1 rng 13.7-16.7 gm/dL > mch 31.3 rng 28-33.5 pg > mchc 33.9 rng 33-37 gm/dL > mcv 92 rng 81-100 fl > mpv 5.7 rng 6.5-10.3 fl > rdw 12.9 rng 11.0-15.1% > plt 160 rng 167-440X(10)3/ul > > Based on these, she would not consider an estadiol blocker and raised his > Testim dose to 15 (3 tubes) per day. Guest guest
Hey Jules, Next time, see if she will run a sensitive estradiol analysis to see where the E2 is. It may actually be too low! Men need E2. Most specialists try to get the E2 in the middle of the range. I think E2 does factor into libido, etc. Also, check on DHT. DHT is related to libido. If it is too low, that may be an issue. One thing you may want to try is to apply the Testim to the testes. This will increase DHT. Also, next time get a Prolactin test. A high prolactin may also lead to low libido. If the prolactin is high a number of folks have reported libido benefits with Bromocriptine or Dostinex (which lowers Prolactin). Good Luck. > Hi Everyone, > > My hubby went to the endo and we got his test results. > > testos free 3.3 rng % > total testo 489 rng 240-950 ng/dL > testost free 16.1 rng 9-30 ng/dL > estradiol <20 rng 0-56 pg/mL > hct 47.5 rng 40-52% > wbc 4.7 rng 3.8-11X(10)3/uL > rbc 5.15 rng 4.5-5.7 x10(6)mcL > hgb 16.1 rng 13.7-16.7 gm/dL > mch 31.3 rng 28-33.5 pg > mchc 33.9 rng 33-37 gm/dL > mcv 92 rng 81-100 fl > mpv 5.7 rng 6.5-10.3 fl > rdw 12.9 rng 11.0-15.1% > plt 160 rng 167-440X(10)3/ul > > Based on these, she would not consider an estadiol blocker and raised his > Testim dose to 15 (3 tubes) per day. Guest guest
If he is not taking anything currently to block his e2, then I doubt it is too low. It is definitely low enough that there is no need to consider blocking any of it though, so your doctor is absolutely correct there. He may want to consider rubbing some gel on testicles a couple of times and see if it helps in the sex drive department. It is certainly not dangerous to do this with a small amount of gel sometimes. Guest guest
Hi, Increasing his libido may mean having better erections to you. If it does then you may be in for a surprise. While the level of testosterone is increasing in the body, his erection performance will probably be very good if he is getting enough to actually raise his level after his normal supply stops because that is the normal reaction to adding T from outside the body. His interest in you will probably go up, but once the level of T stabilizes in the body, his ED may return just as before. If he is very young and his development was being interfered with because of low T then his ED may stay away. Have you read any good books on TRT like " The Testosterone Syndrome " by Dr. Eugene Shippen, $14.95 at and Noble? If he is suffering from ED because of nerve damage, age related, diabetes or other reasons, then the ED will come back as before. Viagra may then be the best alternative or if the damage is severe, then injectibles may provide the best therapy for ED. I've been using the injectibel trimix therapy for more than 10 years and it still works like a charm. ernestnolan > Hi Everyone, > > My hubby went to the endo and we got his test results. > > testos free 3.3 rng % > total testo 489 rng 240-950 ng/dL > testost free 16.1 rng 9-30 ng/dL > estradiol <20 rng 0-56 pg/mL > hct 47.5 rng 40-52% > wbc 4.7 rng 3.8-11X(10)3/uL > rbc 5.15 rng 4.5-5.7 x10(6)mcL > hgb 16.1 rng 13.7-16.7 gm/dL > mch 31.3 rng 28-33.5 pg > mchc 33.9 rng 33-37 gm/dL > mcv 92 rng 81-100 fl > mpv 5.7 rng 6.5-10.3 fl > rdw 12.9 rng 11.0-15.1% > plt 160 rng 167-440X(10)3/ul > > Based on these, she would not consider an estadiol blocker and raised his > Testim dose to 15 (3 tubes) per day. Guest guest
We will try to get her to do those tests. She has some kind of phobea of trying anything new. At least when it comes to drugs " made for women " . The next blood test is scheduled for 2 months from now. She wants him to have time on the higher dose. Does anyone else use Testim on this high a dose?
Guest guest
He is 42 and has been on TRT since 20. He was up in the 900 range 6 months ago on 2 tubes of Testim. It has declined to almost half of that now. As far as libido, I am talking about desire. He seems to have less drive in life too and seems depressed slightly. I know he can not handle the amount of stress that he used to when this low.
Guest guest
Hi, You have it right. T does give you back your willingness to take on projects like remodeling the basement and such. The feeling of well being is essential as well. ernestanolan > He is 42 and has been on TRT since 20. He was up in the 900 range 6 months > ago on 2 tubes of Testim.
