Guest guest
Phil, Good for you. Arimidex does not seem to work real well for me so my Doc has me on Femera. Working out real well for me. y > First thing my Dr. wants me to ask you guys if anyone knows about > using Avdoart(dutasteride) for lowering E2. > > The Zinc, Evista and DIM did not faze my E2 levels. I would be interested to know what the estradiol lowering mechanism of action is thought to be. More people seem disappointed rather than pleased with DIM or at least that was the impression I was left with from old messages. I thought the Evista was supposed to block estradiol at the receptor instead of blocking aromatase. If so, you wouldn't expect a change in blood levels. I suspect that arimidex for men is too rarely prescribed to have yet hit BCBS's radar screen. Since your test level is slightly above the reference range, I am not sure we should be surprised by an estradiol level that is also slightly out of range. Good luck with the arimidex. My intention was to speculate that the financial impact of covering arimidex for men was sufficiently small in the aggregate that BCBS has not yet considered a policy to routinely deny coverage. Given the gamemanship and otherwise tightwad atmosphere I suppose anything is possible.
Guest guest
I think getting the correct dosing regimin on Arimidex is pretty important. I have been told that a small amount daily is the best way to go (1/4 - 1/2 per day). Curious how 1 mg 3 times a week would work. Keep us updated please. > First thing my Dr. wants me to ask you guys if anyone knows about > using Avdoart(dutasteride) for lowering E2. > > The Zinc, Evista and DIM did not faze my E2 levels. Guest guest
When I took 1 mg daily for 30 days straight my E2 was still in the high 50s. Works for most though it would seem. My problem seems to be an over abundance of Aromatase which could be from my high levels of DHEA. Both High T as well as High DHEA can cause aromatization. T to E2, DHEA/DHEA-S to E1 (Estrone). Femera works for me but I think I am going to try lower dosages of Aromasin. y > > First thing my Dr. wants me to ask you guys if anyone knows about > > using Avdoart(dutasteride) for lowering E2. > > > > The Zinc, Evista and DIM did not faze my E2 levels.
