Guest guest
I suspected as much on the LH and FSH. I suppose the only way to ever know now would be to stop the TRT for a period of time. Tell me about not doing well...my moods have been swinging from feeling okay to sobbing in tears, to thinking I wished I was dead (don't worry, I'm not suicidal). Tough question is, is it from undertreated thyroid, undertreated T replacement, or too much E2 and progesterone. Not a happy place to be at the ripe old age of 42. (Probably not a happy place to be at any age! :-> ) Re: FSH, LH, etc whiile on TRT? Estradiol is probably the most important one. 5 G of androgel is actually very very low. I don't know of anyone who does really well on that level. LH and FSH are a waste to test because you are on TRT. They will be low because your body stops sending out those signals when you are on TRT. Guest guest
Hi Bob going on HcG or clomid if you have secondary hypogonadism I am primary and it did nothing for me my testis are dead. As for the Quest test for E2 they did the same thing to me I called and talked to the Dr. there and my level was 48 the test number is still good the Assay would be the same 48 if I was real low then it would show it down to zero. Phil Bob <ballen3_2000@...> wrote: Personally I would do all those test you mentioned. be sure to order the correct E2, quest ran the incorrect one for me twice already. The correct for quest is 30289. Here is the comment on both of the wrong E2 test. No reference range established for adult males and prepubertal childern. The Nichols Estradiol assay (extraction/chromatography/ria method) is recommened. (Order code 30289) Also your LH ans FSH will be low. But might want to point this out anyway as it means that your testicles are doing nothing and will atrophy over time. On Monday I see my endo, want to switch from androgel to hcG or just add hcG to the mix. If this works then I would like to try clomid. I am proof that you will be ok it is a slow process but it works. Phil Dave <daultman@...> wrote: I suspected as much on the LH and FSH. Guest guest
Thanks for the glimmer of hope. It gets discouraging, very discouraging, at times. One system after another seems to be turning itself off. It's even been a big factor in the end of a five year relationship - I was accused of becoming lazy because my down days got so many - how unsympathetic is that?!?! Re: FSH, LH, etc whiile on TRT? Guest guest
I have gone through all of that people at work would say you don't look sick. My wife was told that I am Depressed and don't want to force myself to do things this had us in a divorce. She would say in the morning your not going to work again and start having a fit. Here your sick as a dog and you put up with this. I don't think I ever got over her treating me this way and I told her a long time ago that my health is my problem and if I want her 2 cents I will ask for it. It makes a big change in your life. We were to the point that we had to sign the divorce papers and she changed her mind. I told her the only way I would stay in this marriage is if she got help. We are still together but it is not the same. I know how you feel and I can tell you you will get better. I was told I had so many things wrong with me by so many different Dr.'s and it was just Low Testosterone now 20 yrs ago it was hard today at least some Dr.'s know to test for Low T. when a man has these problems. Labeling me with the word Depression made my life a bitch I have to see those Dr.'s and take the meds. and all it was was Low T. Phil Dave <daultman@...> wrote: Thanks for the glimmer of hope.
