Guest guest
From what I have read about Finasteride, the main side effect is unbalanced hormones. That is exactly my problem - unbalanced hormones. I have low T but high DHT (suspected) and E2. I will consider stopping Finasteride if you can name definite and persistent problems that remain after stopping. I have been on it for about a month and have not had any sexual problems. I get it up and get it off 2-3 times per week, rain or shine. > Proscar is BAD news, look for the group " finasteride_side_effects " > > > > First, I am on TRT and am concerned about DHT. Guest guest
Modestman3, I would think that the " unbalancing " that the Fin would do is increase E2 because it is blocking T from going to DHT. Therefore, I would think you should have high T and E2, low DHT... Re: DHT and Finasteride > > > From what I have read about Finasteride, the main side effect is > unbalanced hormones. Guest guest
Veggie, That is correct if you only take Fin. However, I am replacing/supplementing with Test, Arimidex (E2 blocker), and Fin. I have concocted a TRT drug cocktail that is analagous to TRT as the HIV drug cocktail is to that disease. So far, it has worked OK. But only OK. I don't feel like superman nor have I boundless energy. My internal motivation could use a little punching up too. Conversely, I am slowly losing the obesity profile and the huge spare tire I was packing. I am active at a level I have not seen in the past 10-15 years. I am active like I was at 35. Bottomline, I am more energetic and motivated but with room for improvement. My TRT cocktail has been helpful. > > > Proscar is BAD news, look for the group " finasteride_side_effects " > > > > > > > > First, I am on TRT and am concerned about DHT. Guest guest
PS. Unsupplemented, my Test is low, E2 and DHT are high. That is pretty much a standard andropause profile from what I can determine. The theory is, " my body is aromatizing Test into E2 and DHT. And, the E2 and DHT are signaling my body to slow down production of Test. > > > Proscar is BAD news, look for the group " finasteride_side_effects " > > > > > > > > First, I am on TRT and am concerned about DHT.
