Guest guest
If anyone can help un-confuse me about the following I'd appreciate it. Thanks. 1. If DIM is an anti-androgen, why would I want to take it? Won't it counteract all that testosterone I've been injecting into myself? 2. My understanding of DHT is that it's the hormonally active form of testosterone, and testosterone doesn't really do anything for me until the conversion into DHT occurs. Is this correct? Is DHT a bad thing or a good thing? Do I want lots of it or not? I must be making more of it since starting the T injections because I'm experiencing some hair loss. Should I forget about having T levels checked and have my DHT level checked instead? 3. And speaking of hair loss, if I were to take one of those anti- hair loss drugs like Propecia would this negate the effect of the T injections by reducing DHT, or does it just act on DHT in the scalp? 4. Do soy isoflavones and DIM do the same thing? If so, should I avoid taking them together so I don't get too much of a good thing?
Guest guest
Replacement T makes my hair grow and quickly too. I have to have my hair cut every 4-6 weeks. Hair loss can be caused by stress, illness or could be hereditary. The volume of hair comes through the Maternal line, while colour comes through the Paternal line. My father was bald apart the back of his head, from the age of 30 onwards. All my siblings and I however have very thick hair that has to be thinned when it's being cut. My maternal grandmother had chestnut brown hair that she usually wore up in a bun. When it hung loose it was over 5 " 4 " (feet) in length, her height!. She died aged 89, the result of a road accident. She had no grey hair at all. Steph ----- Original Message ----- From: " J. Cameron " Sent: Saturday, May 24, 2003 8:16 PM Do I want lots of it or not?
