Guest guest
Personally, I think most of the tests you're going to request are a waste of time. Get TSH, FREE T3, and FREE T4. The T-3 Uptake is outdated and replaced by the Free T3 test. The T-7 Index doesn't tell you anything the others won't. Are you symptomatic? Hypo or Hyper? You may want to add Thyroid Antibodies test. > Thyroid Panel > > > > Hi Guys, > > For a thyroid test is this the complete thyroid panel, am I > missing anything I want to get my thyroid tested when I see > my doc on Monday. > > . Guest guest
Hi Dave, What are thyroid antibodies? Should I just ask to get my thyroid antibodies measured, or can you tell what the tests are? I have low body temperature and high E2, I just want to know if the high E2 has messed up my thyroid. My body temperature has been measured to be as low as 94.6, but Im not sure about the accuracy of the therometer and have never had my body temperature reach 98.6 F. Thanks!!! > Personally, I think most of the tests you're going to request are a waste of > time. > > Get TSH, FREE T3, and FREE T4. > > The T-3 Uptake is outdated and replaced by the Free T3 test. Guest guest
Thyroid antibodies are a sign of an autoimmune disease where your body starts attacking it's own thyroid gland. I can never remember if it's Hashimoto's or Grave's Disease. There's a specific test for it. > Thyroid Panel > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi Guys, > > > > > > For a thyroid test is this the complete thyroid panel, am > I missing > > > anything I want to get my thyroid tested when I see my doc on > > > Monday. > > > > > > . Guest guest
She is allways tired and sleeps a lot. I am retired and she still works so I can't complain. Guest guest
That's a common complaint of under-treatment. > Thyroid Panel > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi Guys, > > > > > > > > > > > > For a thyroid test is this the complete thyroid panel, am > > > > I missing > > > > > > anything I want to get my thyroid tested when I see > my doc on > > > > > > Monday. > > > > > > > > > > > > . Guest guest
I keep telling her that and she thinks I am a know it all. So if you could tell me some of the things she can do to feel better I would appreciate. She is on Synyhroid .125 mgs. once a day. She has restlessness most in her legs all night long and she never sleeps more the 2 hrs. and she is up. She also takes aspirin every night for this and it does not help yet you can't tell her. About a 3 months ago she told her Dr. the she felt this way and he upped her meds and it make her feel worst. Guest guest
I wish I had easy answers. Restless legs is a complaint of several ailments, not necessarily thyroid only. Some people don't do well on synthroid and feel much better on Armour Brand Thyroid (natural dessicated pig thyroid glands). I certainly felt more energetic when taking that stuff, but it didn't help me sleep any more... > Thyroid Panel > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi Guys, > > > > > > > > > > > > > > For a thyroid test is this the complete thyroid panel, am > > > > > I missing > > > > > > > anything I want to get my thyroid tested when I see > > my doc on > > > > > > > Monday. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > . Guest guest
Those labs are really old. Don't you have any that are more recent than almost 2 years ago? Those look like you could use a boost in meds. Most people I have seen (my children and myself included) feel best in the upper 1/3 of the range if not at the top. I am actually over the top of the FT3 range but I feel good so my Dr leaves me alone - I am not a lab test but a person. I can't comment on your current condition because these are so old. Sorry.
