Guest guest
Hi Group, I am still looking for some success stories if there are any. Does anyone feel just like they think they should all the time with TRT? I find I am quite moody and although my sex drive goes way up sometimes, other times I don't feel great. Sometimes when my sex drive is super high it doesn't feel all that natural.. a little too much I think. Let me know if you have a solution that is working GREAT! for you. Thanks, armyguy > Hi, > > I am curious if any of the members in this forum feel fantastic and > great on TRT. Guest guest
I've been on Androgel for close to 3 months now. I'm a 30 year old male. I feel totally normal now. I feel a bit agressive but I think that is just due to the increase in confidence since being on the Androgel. Due for bloodwork in a few days so we will see if my levels are improving. Sex drive is very high now. Seems like I'm always horny. And I'm noticing an increase in hair growth on my chest and face. The chest area growth may just be from the application of the gel. I apply the gel once a day to my chest. Overall I'm a lot happier these days. > > Hi, > > > > I am curious if any of the members in this forum feel fantastic and > > great on TRT. Guest guest
That sounds good. I am especially curious to hear if anyone who has been on the stuff for over a year or two is happy with the situation.. 3 months into it, the improvements are awesum... a couple of years and you might start to get pissed off that you need to rub gel on your chest every day or you will be a unic <sp?>. Testosterone is very powerful and is made to fluctuate with our lives to help to control our moods. So what happens if you put it on all the time? I think it may be that our moods become more unnatural. After a while, this kind of sucks and feels a little weird. Also, there are some pains. What if you decide that you want to travel for a couple of months in another country. Can you bring Testosterone with you wherever you go? What happens if someone steals your bag when you're in Vietnam that had your Testosterone gel in it? Then you become a depressed unic <sp?> within a matter of a couple of days. TRT has it's benefits but also it's pains. Especially for a young person! I am thinking of giving HCG another chance... Maybe it's just that the compounded Testosterone that I am using is not absorbing enough... Hmmmm well, at this point I would love to just feel normal always, I am 26 years old. Not sure if TRT is the answer because it is a loooooooooooooooooooooooooong commitment for me! > > > Hi, > > > > > > I am curious if any of the members in this forum feel fantastic > and > > > great on TRT. Guest guest
Hey The way I see it is yes it really sucks to think that I am going to have to use gel every day or give myself a shot every week just to feel somewhat normal. But then I think there are things that are a whole lot worse that I could have (diabetes, cancer, etc) so in the long run yes it kind of sucks but also there are worse problems that we could have. Question to those who use andorgel. How log does it take for the treatment to get T levels up? I was on androderm and T levels stayed low. I have now been on androgel for about 10 days and have not felt a difference yet. I was wondering if I should give it more time or talk to endo now about other treatments. Thanks > > > > Hi, > > > > > > > > I am curious if any of the members in this forum feel > fantastic > > and > > > > great on TRT. Guest guest
bugguy, I've been on Androgel for a year and a half now. It took me about a year to find the right combination of site (thighs, chest and penis); application time (morning and before bed); and amount (10G in AM, 2.5GM at night). The right combination seems to vary with the individual. The most important thing for me was finding the right site. At first My T only went up to 300 putting it on arms and shoulders. I finally found the inner thighs as the best place for me, and levels are about 700. Don't give up on it too quickly - it takes time to experiment and find the best solution. For me, it is a no brainer now. I apply in the AM after a shower. It takes about 15 minutes to dry completely, so I just stay naked for a while while I get ready for work. At night I apply mainly to the penis. This seemed to help with the genital atrophy and my overall ability to get erections. If I put on too much I get itchy breasts. This is a good indicator that your E is going too high. Guest guest
Hi armyguy, I have been on TRT for 13 months now. In the beginning I did have more energy, my depression was better and my sex drive returned - I was also able to have orgasms again. I use Androgel - 5grams each morning. My T levels are high normal. I still don't have the energy I expected - nor the high high sex drive I thought I would get. But then I have other medical problems that may be causing that - and I'm on narcotic painkillers (duragesic patch). Changes to my body were more evident. I did gain weight on my upperbody (not my waist). My beard grew in thicker and better. I always had a slight beard, now its not normal yet, but close. I've also sprouted more hair in the center of my chest, around my nipples and on my belly. That comes in more and more as time goes by. Hair on my arms and legs is also much thicker than it ever was. But the downside is that my already smallish testicles are even smaller - they do shrink on you (hey there's no use for them anymore so they atrophy). Anyway, all told the changes were a plus. I don't know if I could have stood being a raving sex maniac like some of my college buddies were back in school. Just keep on the program. It does help. And - don't forget to ask your Doctor for a DEXA Bone Density Test - a lot of us hypogonadic men have lower bone density. good luck, Ken Hi Group, > > I am still looking for some success stories if there are any. Guest guest
I hope you are not putting it on your breasts! That can cause them to grow. Use it only on your shoulders and upper arms - as directed. Otherwise you may get some unfortunate side effects. good luck, Ken > I've been on Androgel for close to 3 months now. Guest guest
I do not believe that this is true!!! The only thing that would make your breast grow is a very high Estrogen level and it is not caused by putting Androgel on your chest. This is one of the recommended application sites. > > I've been on Androgel for close to 3 months now. I'm a 30 year old > > male. I feel totally normal now. Guest guest
Great ! A positive response!! If only there were a few more of these. Please tell me, how long have you been on Androgel for? Guest guest
It is true. The recommended sites are away from your breasts - away from your nipples. Look at the directions that come with androgel. Its either on your shoulders and upper arms, or your belly. Never do they show applying it to your breasts. That's for a reason because it can cause Gynomastia (sic)(breast enlargement - its in the literature. That's why you see a lot of men who use steroids for muscle building have the beginnings of tits. Guest guest
Okay, okay: Army Guy wants some positive info . . . Yes SIR! I began HRT in September with a level of 174. Started 5 grams of Androgel. Felt great! T levels went up to 400. Told endo I wanted to be on the high end of normal instead of the low end. Am now on 10 grams of Androgel since middle of December. Haven't had any blood work done since then. I notice a bit more facial hair on the cheeks; I have to shave more often. Tons of energy, erections on demand. My mind turns to sex much more often. Beginning to notice a bit more body hair, mostly on my arms and some peach fuzz stuff happening on my belly. Could be the beginnings of a " treasure trail " happening. Sex drive is huge. Some guys have mentioned that they notice a size increase in their penises. Trying not to let my imagination do a " wishful thinking " thing on me in this regard but there seems to be a bit more length and girth. Lots more aggressive. Muscle comes on way easy. In fact I've injured myself pretty good at the gym by lifting too heavy (tendons couldn't handle the weight, a case of too much too soon) and am now on a doctor mandated ban from the gym. Much more proactive about my life. Depression is a thing of the past. Quit welbutrin and am tapering off of zoloft. I've become very " in your face " about my feelings. My friends are amused and bewildered. I love being a man. Tom Re: Anybody really happy with the way that they feel on TRT? Hi Group, I am still looking for some success stories if there are any. Guest guest
I'll chime in on this one. I just gave myself my second monthly shot on the tenth. Since this is all new to me, and since I have been told not to expect dramatic results right away, I'm still approaching everything with more or less a wide-eyed curiosity about what is going to happen. I noticed that very soon after my first shot, I started feeling less sluggish and needed less sleep. I did have an increase in libido, and didn't need Viagra for a while...but that waned before I took my second shot. I guess it takes a while for the T levels to go up and stay there. One thing I am noticing (and am pleased about) is that there is a subtle but definite overall firmness and gradual enlargement in my muscles. Like I said, I'm new at all this, and the changes are slight...but definitely there. I'm excited to see what the next few months are going to bring. I would be curious to know what other " early " changes other guys have experienced.
