Guest guest
Hi Chis I have been reading your messages and wondered with this message if you have also explored Metabolic Illness such as Syndrome X which many men seem to have who also have low T. For the first time my Insulin level was measured last June and it was 27 IU. High insulin means heavy sweating and other unpleasant symptoms similar to low T related symptoms. If you search Syndrome X you will find the list of symptoms. I spoke with my consultant 2 weeks ago you agreed I have syndrome X and have been suffering for over 10 years without being told or having sufficient blood tests to identify correctly. From your earlier postings I assume you are still investigating / considering liver etc etc. Take care _________________________________________ Randle _________________________________________ New results on HCG >I have just got my first ever set of results back off HCG. > > I was on 500IU every three days. > > prior to being on HCG for around three weeks I was on Androgel > (various doses over a year and a half). > > My T level prior to treatment was 317ng/dl when I was 29 years old, > I am now 31. > > Serum Testosterone 701ng/dl (ref range 242-854) > > SHBG 433ng/dl (ref range 375-2048) > > Estradiol 41ng/dl (ref range <79.3) > > FSH 0.4IU/L (ref range 1.2-19.2) > LH 0.4 (ref range 1.24-8.62) > > I am still unwell and exibiting many signs of hypogonadism- although > this maybe due to illness of an unknown origin given my complicated > medical history. > > > Opinions??? > > > P.S > > If you have not already done so, can you check out the database > section and take part in the members survey (please read > instructions carefully). > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Chis are you doing TRT now after stopping the Hcg. If not then your doing good with out it. The only thing I see that is high at least for me is your Estradiol. I would get some Indolplex/DIM and take one pill a day. Doing this should bring back your morning wood keep taking it until the wood stops this means you went to low. I use this as a gauge to keep from going to low. So stop the Indolplex/DIM until the wood comes back the go back on it but take less keep doing this until you find the right dose. in the UK is doing this and he said he feels dam good now. I was on 500IU every three days. prior to being on HCG for around three weeks I was on Androgel (various doses over a year and a half). My T level prior to treatment was 317ng/dl when I was 29 years old, I am now 31. Serum Testosterone 701ng/dl (ref range 242-854) SHBG 433ng/dl (ref range 375-2048) Estradiol 41ng/dl (ref range <79.3) FSH 0.4IU/L (ref range 1.2-19.2) LH 0.4 (ref range 1.24-8.62) I am still unwell and exibiting many signs of hypogonadism- although this maybe due to illness of an unknown origin given my complicated medical history. Opinions??? P.S If you have not already done so, can you check out the database section and take part in the members survey (please read instructions carefully). Guest guest
Do you have Free Testosterone and DHT labs? > I have just got my first ever set of results back off HCG. Guest guest
Chris: Your Estradiol level looks way too high and I don't see a reading for your Free Testosterone, nor your Prolactin level. Phil's advice about taking the Indoplex/DIM is excellent. Also, if your Prolactin level is too high, you'll remain unwell even if you lower your Estradiol level. And, as you requested, I contributed my information to your members survey in the database. Best Regards, Gene > I have just got my first ever set of results back off HCG. Guest guest
Hi Guys, First of all thanks for your replies! , Yes I think that syndrome X may be a possibility, it has been one of the very few things not investigated to date. I certainly put on excess weight irrespective of diet or exercise. Can you tell me what is the method of diagnosis, is it just a simple blood sugar measurement or is it something more complex? I did have an Insulin Tolerance Test some time ago but do not know if this is something that would have picked up this condition if I do have it? Phil, I have been on HCG and nothing else- that is what my latest results are from. Gene, I had my Prolactin tested on the last set of tests and all other prior tests and it wasn't a problem at all- I guess that is why my endocrinologist decided to leave it off this test. How high an estradiol level would you say mine is (Phil your thoughts too?)? I think it is quite high myself, but I would be interested to hear your thoughts. To all; In the UK it can be very difficult to obtain HCG via prescription and it is very expensive- do any of you guys know of an inexpensive source where I or my endocrinologist may obtain it?
