Guest guest
Guys, Since hobobla doesn't have LH from before starting on TRT, would a HCG stimulation test be in order here to help him determine if the family jewels are salvageable? Guest guest
Hobobla, The WBC, MCH, MCHC, Platelet and Neutrophil levels strongly suggest you have a blood disease or disorder. You mentioned earlier that platelets have been low since your 1990 operation. What does your doctor say? In my opinion, if your doc is not knowledgeable about blood disorders he should refer you to a specialist. The low blood cell condition could cause more fatigue problems than low testosterone. For the male hormone issues, you are highly interested in fertility. Can your doctor refer you to a male fertility specialist? That specialist should be able to tell you in advance if he/she wants you to stop the AndroGel. Guest guest
Hi Hobobla, You're right. This needs to be followed through. Four years with low platelets suggests it's not caused by a problem that would kill you. Lucky for you. The tests suggest anemia. This could cause a number of ongoing symptoms that overlap with hypogonadism, like: * Fatigue, weakness, irritability * Headache * Dizziness, especially postural * Vertigo * Tinnitus * Syncope * Dyspnea, especially with increased physical activity (exercise intolerance) * Chest pain, palpitations * Difficulty sleeping or concentrating * Thirst * Anorexia * Decreased urine output/bowel irregularity * Decreased libido or impotence Source: http://www.emedicine.com/emerg/topic734.htm Which also says: " The hallmark of chronic anemia is the ability of patients to sustain a relatively normal level of function at significantly lower than normal Hgb (hemoglobin) levels. " Your Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin (MCH) and Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin Concentration (MCHC) are low. and the other blood analysis is low. Your pre-AndroGel T 405 (241-827 NG/DL) could be higher, but I think the anemia issue should have been dealt with first. MY SUGGESTION: GET A SECOND OPINION FROM ANOTHER DOCTOR ABOUT YOUR TESTS AND SYMPTOMS. Tell your doctor you want a second opinion. He should be supportive of your request, and should help direct you to another doc. Best regards, Bruce > > Hey Bruce Thanx for the suggestions but I asked my doc why why?? > and told me that it could be from taking so much serzone and other > kind ssri's what have you so we never or I should say never followed > it through but they tell me my platelate has been so low for long > time now may be that is no cancern over it heck I always think what > if this or that so you see I think I should get a solid answer. in > any how Thanks this pushes me to be more proactive and follow it > through. ---

Years ago before they knew I had low T I was told the I had very low Iron and needed to go on Iron shots this sounded dangerous so I went to see a Blood Specialist and after some testing I was told I don't have Low Iron. So better to be safe then sorry. > Phil > > hobobla <hobobla@y...> wrote: > > > > Hey Bruce Thanx for the suggestions but I asked my doc why why?? > and told me that it could be from taking so much serzone and other > kind ssri's what have you so we never or I should say never followed > it through but they tell me my platelate has been so low for long > time now may be that is no cancern over it heck I always think what > if this or that so you see I think I should get a solid answer. in > any how Thanks this pushes me to be more proactive and follow it > through. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hobobla, > > > > The WBC, MCH, MCHC, Platelet and Neutrophil levels strongly > suggest you > > have a blood disease or disorder.
