Guest guest
Thanks Bruce, I'll have to keep on looking, he was suppose to be the top endochrinologist in Vancouver, and when I asked him about why levels flactuated so much about 300 points, he said T isn't an accurate indicator. He said even my low T levels were within range and there really isn't much he could do for me. I'll have to try to find another endochrinologist, that would prescribe some clomiphene and HCG atleast to see if it would help my symptoms... Thanks!! > > Hi Guys, > > > > Update, Im one of the one's on this list who are still suffering > from > > the side effects of propecia even after quitting the drug for 4 > years. > > > > I just got back from my doctor and I had my T levels checked > and it > > came back high on one test and on another test T levels came > back mid > > low. Guest guest
Hi Steve, I went though two board-certified endocrinologists, and they were just as stupid as yours. My point is an endocrinologist may not be the way to go, unless he's managed to rise above his education. All reason would suggest that a specialist in glands and hormones would know about hypogonadism and could provide good clinical treatment. This is simply not the case. The doctor I finally found is a D.O. who truly understands all about male hormone modulation. You wouldn't know that from his " official " specialty: clinical cardiology. I started searching for a new doctor about two months ago. First I found and joined this group. Then I took advice from here and called a manufacturer of testosterone pellets. They gave me the names of several doctors nearby (pellets might not be what you're looking for, but a doctor is knowledgable about them, he is likely to be knowledgeable about other therapies). I called Bartor Pharmical in Rye, NY, 914-967-4219. Another very helpful outfit is Collage Pharmacy in Colorado, 800-888-9358 or 719-262-0022. My first appointment with my new doc was 5 weeks ago, and his treatment has turned my life around. Please know that your confusion and frustration are a predictable result of your condition, aggrevated by a bad doctor's attitude. Improvement will be found. Steve, you won't believe what a marvelous relief it is to have a competent doctor until you've finally found one. There's one out there for you, perhaps closer to your area than you know. If you look hard, with confidence, you'll find one. I promise. Guest guest
Hi Bruce, The frustration was that all the doctors I've been to said he's the top guy around, and when I went to see him, he didn't seem to want to try anything, I understand he's busy, but my appt with him lasted less then 15 minutes and he said he wasn't gonna try anything, that just left an empty feeling in my stomach. My main concern is that I start feeling better again. Im also seeing a MD who's also a naturopath at the moment with, he seems very like he's very willing to help. But I don't know how much he knows about propecia side effects, atleast I know he cares. Thanks Bruce, I hope this naturopath will do the trick and get me back to normal again. Sincerely, Steve > > > > Hi Guys, > > > > > > > > Update, Im one of the one's on this list who are still > suffering > > > from > > > > the side effects of propecia even after quitting the drug for 4 > > > years. > > > > > > > > I just got back from my doctor and I had my T levels > checked > > > and it > > > > came back high on one test and on another test T levels > came > > > back mid > > > > low.
