Guest guest
Hi Big Colli, It looks like your problem is clearly secondary, not primary hypogonadism. FSH and LH are the signals that your Hypothalamus sends to your leydig cells to produce testosterone. Both your LH and FSH are low. Your doctor is right to try and find out why they are low, it may be reversible if it is a tumor or something like that. If, after all the test, no doctor's can find the cause of the low LH and FSH, you will almost definitely fix the low testosterone problem with HCG, which mimicks FSH in the body and would probably get your leydig cells in your testicles producing the appropriate amount of testosterone. Again, you have to watch out for Estradiol, which would be a continued problem with HCG, so you would want to take Arimidex with the HCG. You should get your estradiol tested as well right now and see where it is at. Dr. Shippen recommends an HCG stimulation test, to make see if your body will respond to it. Guest guest
Yeah, that's what I was suspecting too. Will I be able to take Androgel or something similar along with HCG without having my natural testosterone shut down? > > Well, after numerous times of contacting the doc's office, I > finally > > obtained all my blood reports. Guest guest
Hi Colli, Your endo is wise to be looking at the other tests. One possible risk of low Testosterone is Diabetes. Although there is no Total Testosterone measure quoted, the Free Testo, LH and FSH readings indicate there is a problem and it is likely in the Pituitary gland. Your prolactin is also at the high end of the range, which arouses suspicion. I would not dream of suggesting treatments to your endo, simply because each case is individual and treatments vary according to cause. Obviously precursive hormones like HGH and HCG come into play, but a real expert in delayed puberty/Hypogonadism is the best way to go. What I would do is insist your Endo gets a second opinion on his proposed course of treatment from such an expert. I hope it helps, Nick > Well, after numerous times of contacting the doc's office, I finally > obtained all my blood reports.
