If you dont think you need it, dont take it. I too could sleep after taking adderall. Speed gives a quick boost but ultimately sucks the life out individules. Ever seen a crank addict? They get skin blisters and their teeth fall out from nutrient depletion. Cant advise against adderall enough. As far as taking the other meds, you really need to get some tests done to find out if you need it or not. What you're doing is driving in the dark with no lights or gauges. You may get to where you're going but most likely, your gonna get hurt in a crash. Sounds like you may have CFS. You shuld get a new doctor even if you have to pay out of pocket. Question if low T is the reason they think you had ADD and needed the stimulant. Many here were on anti-depressants till they were diagnosed with low T. Guest guest Posted July 27, 2004 Report Share Posted July 27, 2004 Oops, forgot to mention the antidepressants. I've been on different ones for the past 15 years. Right now Effexor and Wellbutrin. That's why I was excited to hear that having low T is possibly the problem I have for so long and that it can be fixed. I am 40 years old now and noticed in the past 6 months my strength has really gone down, more tired than usual, taking 2-3 naps everyday. Called a Dr instead of my psychiatrist and explained to him the problems. He wanted to check my T level and put me on the Testim. While talking to him, I told him about an online test that I took showing that I might be ADD. He gave me a similar test and put me on Straterra, but it caused my prostate to hurt, so now I am taking the Testim, Effexor, Wellbutrin and Adderall. Guest guest Posted July 28, 2004 Report Share Posted July 28, 2004 I suggest that you find out why you have low T. Is it genetic, are you getting up in the years, or are you sick. For me, I was sick with iron overload (hemochromatosis). This is one of the most common genetic diseases and the easiest to treat (giving blood). You can accurately test for hemochromatosis only through a test for " ferritin " . Of course, this is listed in the AACE guidelines which can be found in the links section. What is your T on testim? It may not be high enough. I was also extraordinarily fatigued when my T was below 300. When it was 400 I was depressed and also very tired. You need to find out what is causing your low T and then get lots of labs while you are beginning your treatment.
