Guest guest
Propecia has been a problem for many people. Go to propeciasideeffects.com . There is also a group associated with the website " propecia_side_effects " Your hair has most likely stopped falling out because your hormone levels are too low from the Propecia > > > Hi all! > > I'm new here and am wondering about the side effects of finasteride. > Granted, I'm only taking 1mg a day but over time I've noticed > decreased hair on my chest, underarms, and pubic area though I've > stopped losing hair on my head and actually gained some! Guest guest
Hi, Suggest you stop propecia & get hormones checked. It's possible Propecia has screwed things up. You should get tests for: total testosterone, free testosterone, DHEA-S, DHT, Estradiol, FSH, HCG, IGF-1, LH, Prolactin & SHBG. Guest guest
Hi, your problems are from the finasteride... simply because you are blocking the conversion of testosterone to DHT,.. a very important hormone in the body, males need this hormone.. its obvious that if its making you produce less hair on your body, what else is it doing to decrease your " maleness " ?! Losing hair on your head for most guys is simply a genetic trait.. not a symptom of excess DHT unless you are taking Steriods. Lowering DHT levels in a healthy male is in my opinion not a good idea. I would certainly stop its use as it sounds like you are one of the guys who is going to have problems with it. The fact that you are not getting morning erections is a major concern for the health of your penis... and this can lead to long term damage of the endothelium in the blood vessels of the penis... The guys on the finasteride side effects group will help you with any further advice. finasteride_side_effects --- , " aurigarivervale " <jasonels@w...> wrote: > > > Hi all! > > I'm new here and am wondering about the side effects of finasteride. > Granted, I'm only taking 1mg a day but over time I've noticed > decreased hair on my chest, underarms, and pubic area though I've > stopped losing hair on my head and actually gained some! Guest guest
I'm making an appointment with a urologist who specializes in andrology. I want to get my levels done and see what he says about the finasteride and everything else. I did join the finasteride side-effect group but am awaiting approval so I can't see what they have to say yet. I've noticed that some websites have mentioned a problem with low testosterone levels and some drugs that treat acid reflux disease and I'm on Nexium so I'll be sure to ask the doctor about that. It may the combination of the two have sent me for a loop. I'll have to see. Thanks for the help and, of course, more replies are welcome! > > > > > > Hi all! > > > > I'm new here and am wondering about the side effects of > finasteride. > > Granted, I'm only taking 1mg a day but over time I've noticed > > decreased hair on my chest, underarms, and pubic area though I've > > stopped losing hair on my head and actually gained some! Guest guest
thanks for the links--I've been using propecia for a couple months now and will quit. > > > > > > > > > Hi all! > > > > > > I'm new here and am wondering about the side effects of > > finasteride. > > > Granted, I'm only taking 1mg a day but over time I've noticed > > > decreased hair on my chest, underarms, and pubic area though I've > > > stopped losing hair on my head and actually gained some! Guest guest
Propecia causes all sorts of problems, its a very harmfull drug. Irwin Goldstien believes merck hid clinical trail data and that's the reason so many men are affected with propecia side effects. And there have been numerous doctors including Dr. Eugenne Shippen who have contacted merck to let them know of the serious issues caused by finasteride but they fail to acknowledge it is a problem. In the FDA report there are over 15,000 complaints relating to finasteride with numerous suicides as a result of finasteride. You'll be able to get more information from the following message board finasteride_side_effects/ and website: www.propeciasideeffects.com > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi all! > > > > > > > > I'm new here and am wondering about the side effects of > > > finasteride. > > > > Granted, I'm only taking 1mg a day but over time I've noticed > > > > decreased hair on my chest, underarms, and pubic area though I've > > > > stopped losing hair on my head and actually gained some! Guest guest
Yikes - yet another potential drug interaction issue! Can you, or anyone else, elaborate on the mention below of Nexium and possibly other drugs used for acid reflux, affecting testosterone levels? Specifically (and if there is a correlation), what is the mechanism whereby it effects testosterone? Or, is it some other TRT-related effect like inhibiting DHT, increasing E2, etc.? If it isn't one thing, it's another I guess... Thanks.../Dale Re: Propecia Possible Problem? I'm making an appointment with a urologist who specializes in andrology.
