This is amazing. Yes, I have experienced this as well. But, saying that, I

have been on replacement therapy for some time. I've noticed my nipples

actually have gotten somewhat bigger and much harder as well as sensitive.

Sensitive in a nice way.

To most of us the hard nipples and sensation there are indications of

higher E2 levels.

That's interesting. I have my " E " level check frequently and it is never a

problem. I think the doctor gets tired of me asking him to check it, but

reading what I do on here makes me think I'm right in asking him to check them.

In my case, the E level is not a problem.

Joe just to sure we are taling about the same thing it is not E the is the

problem it is E2(Estradiol). If you are having your Dr. check just E then you

don't know if your E2 is high. Also try taking some Zinc with Copper it helps

with keeping E2 down and is good for your testis.

Phil, thanks for the reply. You were correct I was not talking about the same

thing. I don't know anything about E2. Maybe you can help me out with some

info. I take Zinc daily. I haven't had the shrinkage that others write about,

nor have I had clear semen, so maybe the zinc is helping. What do you think?

Guys,

I've found an interesting phenomenon in my case regarding this

subject. The first week after getting the biweekly injection I didn't

notice too much with the nipples, and I didn't feel all that much

better. The second week my nipples seemed more sensitive and a little

more swollen than usual, but I felt much better. I had the second

shot two days ago, and my nipples seem less sensitive again. I think

i am still feeling better, although I've had to overdo things the last

couple days so i'm a bit wiped out. But I think I would have been

much more wiped out before starting TRT at the same activity level.

The only E2 test I ever had indicated E2 as less than 32. I'm

wondering by the above results if I had really low E2 in addition to

low T? After all, my nipples being puffy and sensitive corresponded

to me feeling better.

Hi Mark,

It's likely your E2 will go up with the T-cyp. Your last E2 test is history. I

think

you should have your levels tested about 4-5 weeks after starting injections,

that's what my doc did. My GUESS is it's presently too early to be experiencing

significant TRT-related E2 problems, but keep an eye on it.

Here's a SWAG theory on your interesting phenomenon: your T was dropping

off in the week before your 2nd shot, so the ratio of T to E2 was getting lower,

nipples thus more sensative. Your next shot boosted T, so the T:E2 ratio was

higher, thus nipples less sensative.

DO NOT OVERDO THINGS. Your CFS-like symptoms have kept you inactive

for a long time. Anyone who rapidly goes from inactivity to activity is likely

to

wind up flat on their ass.

Peace,

Bruce

As E2 comes from conversion from testosterone, low testosterone will

often result in low E2. And its beginning to look like the bone

density issues from low T may actually stem to a large degree from

this fact. Studies show folks with high T but aromotase deficiencies

end up with low E2 and serious bone density issues.

Bruce,

Good advice as usual.

I guess what I meant is that I wonder if I was feeling bad not just

from low T but from low E2 as well, since I started to really feel

better once my nipples got sensitive.

I'm guessing my endo was talking about the same studies you are when

she said it is being shown that men need E2 for several things,

including bone density.

Good to know she is up on some of the latest research. I really hope

she doesn't decide to leave town.

I think its when they start getting hard a lot that E2 has gone to

high, not just sensitive.

Mark - always looking for a new doctor here. What town's your endo in, she

sounds good. In addition to my Testosterone issues, I have no THyroid

gland, so if I could get T and Th done by the same doc, it would be great.

If your doc's in Los Angeles area, could you post or email her name and

number?

Thanks.

Dave,

She's in Chicago. Not sure how good she is yet as I've only seen her

once and talked to her a few times. But she seems more knowledgable

than most docs. Although she's not doing E2 management yet, she

sounded open to looking at it if it becomes necessary.

Hardening nipples is more a sign of high e2 than high testosterone.

Chances are, you put on the gel, a bunch of it aromatises to e2 and

you are left with hard nipples. Have you had your e2 tested lately?

It doesn't necessarilly mean your e2 is getting out of control, but

it's important to keep an eye on it.

Are we talking a total all the time hardening of the nipples, or hardening

from stimulation.

I'm not too embarrassed to admit that with a little stimulation from my

partner my nipples get hard and I enjoy it. But that's normal, nothing to

do with TRT or E2 levels, correct?

When we talk about nipples and high E2 I have hard and sore nipples all the time

until I got my E2 down.

Were talking hard itchy nipples with no stimulation. Nipples that

get very sensitive just rubbing against your shirt. Everybody's

nipples should get hard when stimulated... enjoy!
