Guest guest
Thank you Bruce, that makes me feel much better! I went to my general practitioner and we agreed to send me to a specialist in the NoVa area. She also gave me a copy of my test results from May of this year. These results are from before my initial use of the Androderm patch (and subsequestly where I am now after 6 months of use).: Name Result Range Ferritin - 95 (20- 345) LH Serum - 2.7 (1.5- 9.3) FSH Serum - 2.4 (1.4- 18.1) Testosterone 384 (241- 827) Prolactum - 7.8 (3.0- 19.0) TSH - .95 (.4- 5.5) PSA total - .6 (0 - 4.0) Protein 7.2 Albumin 4.6 Globulin 2.6 A/G ratio 1.8 Bilrubin total .8 Bilrubin Direct .0 AST 25 ALT 17 Alkaline Phosphatase 87 1 month later I had a testosterone score of 835 and I felt wonderful. It is a few months later and I feel exactly where I was before starting treatment. Hopefully the specialist will give me insight next Tuesday. Can anyone give me an idea of what my test results conclude? From my research it shows a cut and dry case of Hypogonadism. > > > > > > Hello gents. Guest guest
Looks like you might be secondary to me. My endo recommends T shots with HCG added in 6 months to a year after starting T shots for my secondary. Others try different things. Guest guest
Hi Will, IMO your GP is a good doc. She knows a doc has to consider the patients symptoms, and that T 384 is not right for a 27 yo man. Supplemental T made your symptoms go away. A cut and dry case of Hypogonadism? I think so. Many docs would disagree, taking one look at your first T level being over 241 & pronouncing you healthy. LH & FSH signal the testicles to make T. Your very low-normal levels suggest pituitary or hypothalmic dysfunction. A dynamic stimulation test using hCG or Clomid would tell if your testicles could be " jump-started " to make natural testosterone again. If so stimulation therapy might be preferable to TRT, especially if fertility is a concern. I'm hoping your specialist will be good. Let us know what he has to say.
