Guest guest
The pharmacy directions that come with HCG call for intermuscular injections but Shippen and those of us who use hcg have found that subcutaneous works as well. So, you have a choice I think. The needle is so small that it really doesnt matter a lot. I think that 6 weeks is too soon to determine if hcg will work given that your testicles have been shut down for 32 years. They need to be stimulated and then have time to grow a little too. I think that it is fair to say that if you are getting next to nothing for T at the end of the trial period that your chances are dim. On the other hand if you are getting something, like maybe 300, then dont give up too soon because that would be a sign of life and a little more time would be helpful to see where you might max out. Good luck. Guest guest
Good luck with that! 30 years is a loooong time for your leydig cells to wait around looking for some LH to tell them to do their job... but here's hoping their still waiting to do their job! Intra Muscular is just the old school way to do HCG. It is found to be just as effective Sub Q but is a lot less of a pain in the .... thigh (in your case). Let us know if you see results, if you do, then HCG is God's gift to hypogonadism. It will be interesting to find out. Guest guest
If you don't like to do them IM, do a search in the archieves and you will find some abstracts on injecting HCG. I have come to the conclusions that there is not really a lot of difference if you are not obese. > Yesterday was last Androgel application and will start 1000 units of > HCG three times a week starting today. Guest guest
What are the sites for SubQ hCG injections? My doctor told me to inject it into my stomack, close to belly button. But recently read that fatty areas are not goot for injecting. Anyone uses different sites? > > Yesterday was last Androgel application and will start 1000 units > of > > HCG three times a week starting today. Guest guest
Sub q top of thigh is best and easiest. Search " Google Groups - Alt.support.impotence " for Zolt's HCG primer. It has all the information you need to attack via the HCG route. If you search and have trouble finding that, repost and I will see if i can, but you should be able to. Guest guest
Thanks. I read his posts, he mentiones a drug Selegeline, which is a dopamine enhancer used in Parkinson's. I've read about it long time ago, but could not get a prescription. Anyone ever tried it? >From: " Philip Georgian " <pmgamer18@...> >Reply- > >Subject: Re: Starting HCG today >Date: Sat, 21 Feb 2004 00:51:21 -0000 > >Try post number 4548 through 4554 for Zolt's post 1 through 7. >Phil > > > > > > Yesterday was last Androgel application and will start 1000 > > units > > > > of > > > > > HCG three times a week starting today. Guest guest
That's why it's so easy in the thigh! Anywhere pretty much : ), but when I say top, I mean sit down, look down, and inject about 2/3 up from your knee to your groin in the part of your thigh closest to your eye... the top! Guest guest
Yeah- I've been taking it for years, at a very low dose ('bout 1-2 mg/day). I recently increased to 2-3 mg/day. But I really haven't noticed any effect on libido. Perhaps this dose is still too low... >From: " A ADR " <alexdr@...> >Reply- > >Subject: RE: Re: Starting HCG today >Date: Fri, 20 Feb 2004 17:48:05 -0800 > >Thanks. >I read his posts, he mentiones a drug Selegeline, which is a dopamine >enhancer used in Parkinson's. >I've read about it long time ago, but could not get a prescription. >Anyone ever tried it? > > > > > >From: " Philip Georgian " <pmgamer18@...> > >Reply- > > > >Subject: Re: Starting HCG today > >Date: Sat, 21 Feb 2004 00:51:21 -0000 > > > >Try post number 4548 through 4554 for Zolt's post 1 through 7. > >Phil > > > > > > > > Yesterday was last Androgel application and will start 1000 > > > units > > > > > of > > > > > > HCG three times a week starting today. Guest guest
Are you using any other TRT (gels, hCG, Clomid) along with Selegiline? Zolt mentioned that Selegiline alone can increase T levels. May be your libido is normal and taht's why you feel no increase? Mine is non existent, so any increase would be more than welcome. Also, where do you get it? >From: " Dowling " <dowlic@...> >Reply- > >Subject: RE: Re: Starting HCG today >Date: Sat, 21 Feb 2004 13:00:27 +0000 > >Yeah- I've been taking it for years, at a very low dose ('bout 1-2 mg/day). >I recently increased to 2-3 mg/day. Guest guest
My libido has decreased, notably, over the past year. I went to my PCP, who tested my total T, late in the day (early evening). It was borderline low, and he suggested Androgel treatment. I'm pretty young, so I was hesistant to jump into testicular suppression, and instead got a urologist referral. To my suprise, the urologists had no better understanding or other therapeutic ideas than Androgel. My T, tested at the urologist office in the late morning, was within normal, albeit probably low for my age. Anyway, for the moment, I'm attempting other, less permanent seeming options than jumping to a life of supplemental T. I get my deprenyl by prescription, and in generic form, it's quite inexpensive; however, it is available from offshore sources by mail order or internet order for personal use, also. You might try IAS. >From: " A ADR " <alexdr@...> >Reply- > >Subject: RE: Re: Starting HCG today >Date: Sat, 21 Feb 2004 11:15:24 -0800 > >Are you using any other TRT (gels, hCG, Clomid) along with Selegiline? > Zolt mentioned that Selegiline alone can increase T levels. >May be your libido is normal and taht's why you feel no increase? >Mine is non existent, so any increase would be more than welcome. >Also, where do you get it? > > > > > > >From: " Dowling " <dowlic@...> > >Reply- > > > >Subject: RE: Re: Starting HCG today > >Date: Sat, 21 Feb 2004 13:00:27 +0000 > > > >Yeah- I've been taking it for years, at a very low dose ('bout 1-2 >mg/day). > >I recently increased to 2-3 mg/day. Guest guest
I have been told that some people, unfortunately, do not get the same " benefits " from HCG as they do from T replacement through AG or shots. Although test is test, some andecdotal evidence seems to suggest that some people do not respond to HCG. However, you should also try to have your E2 tested. The may also effect your Libido. How are you feeling otherwise? > > > > Yesterday was last Androgel application and will start 1000 > units > > > of > > > > HCG three times a week starting today. Guest guest
Consider HCG and or Clomid treatment. This will increase your natural production. but the first thing you should do is start taking Zinc supplements. If you are low on zinc, that will help explain the problem and it is not always easy to tell if you are low on zinc... so zinc supplements are always a good way to start attacking the problem. Guest guest
The increase is positive. Did you get your estradiol level checked? This is key, if it is high it will prevent you from getting positive benefits from the HCG. Your total t is way up, that is great. Stick with the program, and manage your estradiol, and you will see positive benefits within 3 months. Guest guest
How old are you and are you primary or secondary? I am 45, secondary and can easily raise my T level with minimal doses of hCG or Clomid, but even when my T is around 1000 with free T out of the range, I still have no sex drive. >From: " Dowling " <dowlic@...> >Reply- > >Subject: RE: Re: Starting HCG today >Date: Sat, 21 Feb 2004 20:32:11 +0000 > >My libido has decreased, notably, over the past year.
