Guest guest
Hi I think you are making too many assumptions. Lets take just one to start with. You say there is male osteoporosis in your family. There are several reasons for both male and female Osteoporosis and so you are assuming the family history of " some osteoporosis " is from HG. This does not necessarily follow. It can be from low calcium, from anaemias / poor adsorption problems and many others. If you feel you are at risk of Osteoporosis from familial reasons ask for DEXA Scan and Bone profile. This will identify were you are now. Next ensure a diet which satisfies you proper dietary needs for calcium and vitamin D etc. Have an annual serum calcium test. Finally, regulars here frequently will read members saying " They go by how they feel " . What are you symptoms? Merely having a low sex-drive is not necessarily a medical-problem but the same as a short guy saying he wish he were 6' I hope this helps. _________________________________________ Randle _________________________________________ New Test Results > > > > I had a local family practitioner do a blood test for me and I just > go the following results: > > LabCorp > Testosterone Serum 314.0 ng/dL (241-827) > Free Testosterone(Direct) 11.0 pg/mL (8.7-25.1) > Estradiol 15.0 pg/mL (0-53) > > The doctor said I am normal and there is nothing to be concerned > about...I am 34, exercise frequently (weights 3-4 days a week), > healty body weight....I don't have problems having erections, but I > just don't have any sexual interest...My wife and I have sex about > once every two weeks...She doesn't have much of a sex drive either. > I had another blood test about a year ago and it came back 417 ng/dl > (don't know ref range) > > > I don't know if its time to start TRT or not...There is some male > osteoporosis in my family so I believe at some point I will have to > start...but the idea of having to take something for the rest of my > life (starting @ 34) doesn't sound good, but my body is showing the > effects of not enough T...muscle breakdown, breast growth > > Is it worth it, If I can find a doctor, to start TRT? > > > . > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
If you go to the home page and on the left side is the files section in there you will find how to find a good Dr. the longer you wait to go on TRT the more damage you can do to your body. Your T levels are in the normal range but for an 85 to 100 year old man. http://www.natural-hrt.com/andropause04.html Read this and print it out and give it to your Dr. http://www.aace.com/clin/guidelines/hypogonadism.pdf In this link it talks about the damage you do when you have low T and don't get treatment. http://www.wellmanclinic.org/Male%20menopause.PDF Phil taylorchapman15 <taylorchapman15@...> wrote: I had a local family practitioner do a blood test for me and I just go the following results: LabCorp Testosterone Serum 314.0 ng/dL (241-827) Free Testosterone(Direct) 11.0 pg/mL (8.7-25.1) Estradiol 15.0 pg/mL (0-53) The doctor said I am normal and there is nothing to be concerned about...I am 34, exercise frequently (weights 3-4 days a week), healty body weight....I don't have problems having erections, but I just don't have any sexual interest...My wife and I have sex about once every two weeks...She doesn't have much of a sex drive either. I had another blood test about a year ago and it came back 417 ng/dl (don't know ref range) I don't know if its time to start TRT or not...There is some male osteoporosis in my family so I believe at some point I will have to start...but the idea of having to take something for the rest of my life (starting @ 34) doesn't sound good, but my body is showing the effects of not enough T...muscle breakdown, breast growth Is it worth it, If I can find a doctor, to start TRT? . ---------------------------------

Guest guest
Hi , Your low-normal levels could cause profound hypogonadism symptoms for some men, no symptoms for others. Sex every 2 weeks? There must be SOME interest there. I suggest taking a DHEA supplement, 25mg/day, & see if that helps. I wouldn't start TRT for the sole reason of preventing osteoporosis. There are other, simpler preventatives. You may be able to find a lab to run the E2 test without physician orders. Brad
Guest guest
> My doc did not want to test for E2. Question is, are my decreased > FSH, LH as would be expected? Yes, your body is sensing the external testosterone and shutting down the production in your testes. Remember its Hormone REPLACEMENT therapy. Hang in there your going in the right direction. > Do I still need E2 tested? I think I > felt better at first, then deteriorated some. I can see a more > knowledgeable doc, but I don't know if that's needed now. Yes! Estrogen levels need to be in the proper percentage of you will end up converting all the testosterone to estrogens. And this is not good or healthy! *Or so I think from what I've read.

Guest guest
Depending on the concentration of the vial, I've seen 250ml per ml, and that'd be .4 ml cc's weekly, 200 ml per ml would equal out to .5 ml/cc's weekly, though.
