Hi! mY name is and I live in Wa. state. I am 55 yrs young and

am married. Hubby and I have a seven yr old son with shaken baby

syndrome and autistic symptoms and we have a 2 yr old daughter. Both

kids are hubbys bio grands.

I do have diabetes and am getting better.

A few months ago, I felt srthritis in my hands and hand. When it

would hurt, I would take 2 or 3 flaxseed oil capsules and the pain

would go away. Then the pain got worse and I needed to take

naproxis. We were going on a cruise early Sept., so I packed the

flaxseed and naproxin with me. On the cruise, I rarely drank coffee

and ate mostly fish, veggies and fruit. I kept taking the flaxseed

and after the cruise realized I didn't have pain during the cruise. I

wondered if the foods I ate had something to do with it. When we got

home, I got slack with the flaxseed and I began noticing pain. The

pain got much worse and I went to dr. He did an RA FACTOR and SED

RATE. RA FACTOR was 26 (normal) and SED RASTE was 61 (high). He

called and said I had RA. I went into action immediately and started

back on flaxseed...2 in aM & 2 in pM. I added fish oil capsules at 6

per day and also take other vitamins. I cut way back on coffee, cut

out red meats and am now eating low fat and doing regular exercise.

The swelling is gone. My fingers are limber with no pain. I am left

to wonder about the effects of both fish oil and the flaxseed. I

decided to not take the prescrip at this time for prednisone and will

wait a couple of months before seeing an arthritis doctor. I will

have the test repeated before then. I guess that is all.
