Guest guest
Hi Aimee, I'm sorry to hear of the kidney trouble with your cat~ there may be some helpful information at Shirley's Wellness Cafe, which has really helped us out many times. I searched their website for help in this area: http://freefind.com/servlet/freefind?id=9609505 & pageid=r & mode=ALL & query=kidney+c\ at For our cats, we use a recipe for cat food out of Anitra Frazier's book, " The New Natural Cat " . She addresses all sorts of cat health problems (not in too much detail), and gives ideas on how to adjust their diets. It is great that you are giving your cat a natural diet. There are some food additions that have been helpful for urinary problems with our cats (we have rescued quite a few). Nettle leaf & root, Dandelion, Cranberry, Vitamin C powder. Also, I have a book that details places on cats or dogs to gently massage for bladder, kidney or any other health problems. One of our cats has had FUS several times, even an episode from catfood made specifically for this which we purchased from the vet! He is now fine as long as he eats homemade food, which is a little watery, with the addition of a little Vita C powder each meal. Another of our cats was having some real trouble urinating one weekend morning, trying over and over. There was a serious problem, and i knew that the vet wasn't in, and we'd have to call the emergency number. I quickly boiled dandelion leaves in a bit of water and put in everything i could think of for urinary problems or infection, such as what i've already mentioned plus a little colloidal silver. I gave him dropperfuls every little while, and sat down with him (and the reference book) to gently massage every spot relating to urinary health. He was very sore in many of them. I worked with him for about an hour or so, and shortly you could not tell that he had ever had any problem at all! It was incredible. This happened about 4 months ago, and he hasn't had any discernable problems since. **If you would like i can try to describe where the best reflexogy/accupressure spots are for her problem.** This works so well and quickly, we have seen it often! Often i also Google for natural help for whatever health needs we or our cats have. (Standard Process also makes an excellent product for urinary feline health~ i don't know if that is for kidney problems or not.) Best wishes for your kitty, Joy --- margarita margarita <margaritaaaaaa@...> wrote: > > Hi, all, > > I know this is a newsletter for humans, but, in > cats their kidney problems are the same as in > humans, so, I am wondering if anyoine has any help > for me: > > My cat is about 10 years old and her lab tests > came back as having a very serious kidney > problem...her # for any of you who know these > numbers, is 7.4 very high... > > She has been on the raw food diet since spring > 2005...I know I will have to redo her diet using the > same high quality organic meat, but, I do not know > what all to put in it, and, the amounts > (percentages)... > > She is going to the vet todat to get fluids with B > vitamins... > > What else can we do? > > Thank you so much, > > Aimee > > > --------------------------------- > DSL Something to write home about. Guest guest
I would use the parsley water from Dr. 's kidney cleanse for your cat to drink as well as parasite herbs to kill anything hindering the healing process.
