You can get MSM in crystline form and mix it with the flax oil. Isn't that better than the sulfer in the cottage cheese since MSM is pure clean sulfer. Guest guest
Hi, Dr. Budwig reccommends one tablespoon of Flaxseed Oil per hundred pounds of body weight for maintenance of the needed Omega 3. To fight cancer I would use at least two tablespoons extra. We have seen very good results from four tablespoons of flaxseed oil mixed in about three fourths of a cup of cottage cheese with frozen strawerries, crushed pineapple or something added to help the taste. Several years ago a man in our area had lung cancer that had incapacitated him. He would rather die than eat cottage cheese, so he used one capsule of companion nutrients per tablespoon and four tablespoons of f/o per day and before long was back at work. The only evidence of cancer is some scar tissue. That was around five years ago. He is still working. I do not even know his name. He was a friend of a friend of mine. So far we have not seen this miss in cases of lung cancer. If weight is a problem cut somewhere else. I have a sister in a nursing facility in Florida. She is having a very tough time with a brain tumor. She was always very concerned with weight. She wouldn't try this because she didn't want to get fat. If it is a choice I would prefer to be alive and a little heavy than thin and dead. Hiowever, it is usually possible to cut somewhere else. Designer whey protein and Soy protein have the same sulfur based proteins as cottage cheese and I am using a heaping soupspoon of Whey protein and a heaping soupspoon of Soy protein with part of the oil I am taking. I am guessing on amount. Cliff Flax Oil and cottage cheese >I'm newish. Guest guest
USING FLAXSEED OIL I have been asked different times about how to take flaxseed oil. I will simply tell what we have tried and learned since June 1991. We were basically on our own and still are. Dr. Budwig latest recommendations are one tablespoon of oil per hundred pounds body weight for maintenance of the needed Omega 3 and more to overcome existing problems. We have seen best results with at least two tablespoons beyond maintenance where cancer exists. She suggests at least a half cup of cottage cheese per day. I have used three fourths of a cup. I mix it in the morning, add fruit to give it a good taste and eat part of it two or three times per day. We are frequently asked about substitutes for cottage cheese for those who do not like it or are allergic to it. It seems that soft Tofu will work well. The oil should be mixed in it as much as possible. There is a product called Companion Nutrients [Natures Distributors 1 - 800 - 624 - 7114] that is claimed to work well, and we have seen good success with it. It is not expensive. I recently learned that Soy protein has the same sulfur based proteins as does cottage cheese. Whey protein also may have real value. I read recently on the internet that a combination of Soy protein and Whey protein showed a distinct value in the prevention of breast cancer without anything else with it. I am now using a tablespoon of Soy protein [the amount is a guess] and a tablespoon of whey protein in enough milk or grapejuice to make it liquid per day. I am using it with the flaxseed oil and cottage cheese. This is my guess and not a clinical recommendation. I have also just learned that it may be possible to overdo it on Soy foods over a period of time. A tablaespoon a day should do fine. All the brands of oil are good as long as they are fresh and cold pressed. Flaxseed oil will keep a year in a freezer, four months in a refrigerator, but only three weeks at room temperature. After that it will deteriorate into a transfatty acid that can actually cause cancer. Barleand's have one advantage in that they will ship wholesale to anyone with a life threatening disease. If one gets over $75.00 worth at one time they will pay surface transportation and for an extra $4.00 or so will ship FedEx. One tablespoon of Flax Oil may be replaced by three tablespoons of seeds, but no more, ground up in a small coffee grinder. The ground seeds must still be used with a sulfur based protein and should be used within ten minutes of grinding due to rapid oxidation. This is not to be construed as advice. This is merely evidence. We do not have medical direction due to lack of research other than what we know of Dr. Budwig's work. We are on our own. Cliff Flax Oil and cottage cheese >I'm newish. Guest guest
Yogurt can be used instead of cottage cheese but it only has a third as much protein per volume and therefore needs three times as much. It also must be plain yogurt and not fruited. One could mix up the yogurt and oil and then add fruit and be all right, but the fruited yogurt to start with is too diluted with fruit and sugar. Guest guest
Dear Cliff, I printed your information on flax oil and cottage cheese when you sent it to me, and have read it several times. It makes so much sense! Your personal testimony was very encouraging as well. Could you please tell me how you gained the tremendous knowledge you have of your approach to cancer? On Tuesday of this week, my father had a fairly large cancerous growth removed from his mouth. Though the doctors decided to forego chemotherapy at this time (thankfully), they have indicated that they expect more growths of this type in the future. He is also being watched due to pre-cancerous spots in his lungs and an enlarged prostate. Since his appetite is poor at present and his sense of taste is severely compromised, do you have any suggestions for making the combination more palatable? Am I being to optimistic in believing that using this protocol would help prevent future problems? Thank you! Carrol

Guest guest
Hi Carol, I believe wholeheartedly that if your father can get this down he has a very good chance of complete remission. This is based on observation and what we have learned from bits and pieces from Sr. Budwig. Most of it comes from taking Dr. Budwig's work at face value and talking about it and learning what has happened to those who have used it. I have yet to talk to a person who really believes that chemo is an answer but when the doctor says that one must start chemo immediately there is a hopeless resignation that since the doctor said it we must do it, at the same time we are wondering how many months more misery will we be facing before we are looking at the roots of the grass. I had a long call two days ago from a woman with acute Leukemia. Her doctor says that nothing can be done. He sent her to a big cancer center to a specialist . He examined her records and had a talk with her to the point that death is coming to us all, and to some sooner than others, etc. etc. We have seen five people out of five with Leukemia go into remission. One person was acute, and Shiloh was acute. Remember Shiloh? Will any doctor take notice of that? An I serious? Who am I kidding? I believe this lady is now on all the flaxoil she can stand with cottage cheese. If she improves or recovers will anyone notice? Medical people would have no explanation, but it won't be flaxseed oil and sulfur based proteins. That only works in Germany with Dr. Budwig. A friend of mine is working with a doctor on something experimental. My friend asked his opinion of Omega 3 as therapy. He was told condescendingly to take that with a grain of salt. Suddenly I realized something. I have been taken to task for talking about this without hard evidence from documented scientific studies etc. etc. The evidence I have is not hard evidence, it is merely accurate. However, there is also no hard evidence for any doctor to dispute its effectiveness. They know absolutely nothing about it except that something this simple couldn't be effective. That would be a tremendous blow to the medical ego and potential income. Experimentation is being done in this country on Omega 3 but nothing is being done in connection with the Sulfur based proteins that Dr. Budwig has found makes it effective. There is no scientific knowledge that can support or refute it, and it has been tried. When you mix the cottage cheese and flaxseed oil try mixing in frozen strawberries or something to cover the taste. Try to have your Dad eat it little bits at a time if necessary but get it in if at all possible. I am trying to find frozen red raspberries with which to use it. So far I haven't been able to find any. We used to raise them. I am going to put on a seperate post that burns me to this day. Guest guest
I am going to post the story of Jim Galm, my brother in law before my first wife passed away. Hi, A former brother in law [My first wife passed away in 1973] was found to have a chronic Leukemia in 1993 or 4. The doctor's watched the white count and when it got to a high level administered three rounds of chemo. After that [my knowledge of the exact course of events is a little sketchy] he developed Lymphoma. There is speculation that the chemo for the Leukemia eliminated enough of the immune system that the Lymphoma was able to get started.] Since that time Jim has been on all kinds of chemo. When we heard about it we sent a tape and Jim has also used Flaxseed Oil faithfully. My contact has been very limited, but I understand that several times in the past years he was told to get his affairs in order. The doctors could not understand how well Jim was holding up to the chemo treatmenst and how well he was doing as the chemo did not appear to be successful. They knew he was using Flaxseed Oil but dismissed that as of no consequence. #Some studies are double blind. Some observations could be made but those involved are just single blind when it does't fit the standard line. A few months back he was told that they could do no more chemo as it would kill him. They put him on some kind of cancer medicine in pill form. His wife does not know what it is. He is now going down hill and the time left does not appear to be long. Whether he is still being given some kind of chemo or a pain control deal such as Morphine I have no idea. If it were possible to go back to the time the Leukemia was first detected and go with Flaxseed Oil from there I wonder what might have happened. Unfortunately, we can only go around once and we can't do it both ways. Chemo can be deadly stuff. The idea is, I understand, that the chemo will hurt the cancer cells more than the rest of the body and the rest of the body will hopefully recover. # I have yet to meet anyone who actually believes that. If you know of anyone who does, introduce me to them. I have an uncle who has some waterfront property in Florida he would dearly love to sell. Jim went into a coma and passed away March 1, 2000. # The doctors knew of the Flaxseed Oil use, but these were one of the best doctor groups in a major city and it couldn't help Jim. Guest guest
Dear Carol, In Dr Johanna Budwig's Oil/Fat Cookbook she states that cottage cheese, plain yogurt, skim milk or quark (a European food) all work equally well with flax oil as a remedy. She also has many good ideas for very palatable recipes. Here's the best I have found. Take equal parts of partially frozen blueberries (or favorite berries) with same amount of organic whole milk yogurt. Add some grated lemon rind and some stevia (an herbal sweetener) and sweeten to taste. You can use any sweetener you feel comfortable with but sugar is very bad. Blend all in a blender add 1 to 3 tablespoons (start low work up to taste) of high lignan flax oil. Blend again. Maybe I just haven't had blueberry pie in a long time but this sure tastes similar. Praise God! My best wishes to you, Judi >>> <carrolshow@...> 04/19/00 07:06PM >>> Dear Cliff, I printed your information on flax oil and cottage cheese when you sent it to me, and have read it several times. Guest guest
Dear Cliff, Your brother-in-law's story is so sad and I'm afraid it is typical. One reason that I am so bent on finding some alternative procedure for my father is that he has suffered through two six month rounds of chemotherapy already. The first six months he went to the cancer center and received chemotherapy for eight hours per day, Monday through Friday. This would alternate every other month with a trip to the hospital so that drugs could be administered around the clock and injected directly into the cancer site. His veins broke down and a port was installed which caused blood clots and dark veins to emerge on his neck, face, chest and arm. After a week they began injections to boost his immune system. Then He was injected with blood thinners. He was given injections to keep his bowels working. He was given injections to keep his bladder working. He was given injections to help with nausea. And, in addition, he was given oral drugs to counteract the ravages of chemotherapy, as well. He also had surgery and all of the consequences that accompany that. He couldn't have visitors or see his grandchildren. He suffered dementia, allergic reactions to several drugs and became suicidal at one point. But, the doctors saw CANCER, not him. HE was not part of the equation. His second round of " treatment " included radiation and an even stronger drug. Repeat everything mentioned above, except that surgery occurred prior to chemo this time and hospital stays just included stronger variations of the poison. This once vital man, who played college football, was a Golden Glove boxer and who loved the outdoors, cannot even go outside into his own yard now. His immunities are so low that he is allergic to grass, trees, pollen, animals, and just about anything else you can think of. A dental problem that resulted in his most recent cancer diagnoses culminated in an allergic reaction to the antibiotics to which he'd never reacted before. He has nerve damage that is hindering his walking, his hands shake constantly, his mind is " not right " (according to him), and he is weak and easily fatigued. I cannot see the benefit of the chemotherapy and radiation he endured, especially when cancer continues to recur. I keep hearing that laetrile is cyanide, i.e., poison. Chemotherapy is poison, too, but not nearly as selective as laetrile. Chemotherapy kills everything in its path, good or bad. But I have never heard a doctor respond appropriately to that knowledge. The medical doctors tell my dad not to consider alternative methods because they " haven't been tested. " I can remember several drugs, like fen/phen, that were " tested " with disastrous results. Who says that the FDA, pharmaceutical companies, or medical doctors have an exclusive insight into what is best for people? Over and over, their testing in controlled settings negates the human element of healing. I better stop, now, or I'll need a larger soap box!!! Please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of your brother-in-law, and my deepest thanks for your response to my ignorant questions about flax oil and cottage cheese. You are a blessing! - -Carrol

Didn't someone post an example of an animal study recently? If I recall correctly, three categories of nutrients were tested: (1) white flour (grains without its bran and germ), (2) white flour with artificial vitamins (from tar?), and (3) whole grain flour. The results had a surprising element. The mice with the diet of whole grain flour remained nice and healthy. The mice with the diet of white flour got diseases just like we do. But the mice with the diet of white flour plus ARTIFICIAL VITAMINS was the SICKEST of the three groups!!!! There seems to be a deception in medicine that says that natural vitamins are identical to artificial vitamins. And scientific studies using poor quality or artificial vitamins seem to be the basis by which the FDA can downplay vitamins, often recommending a dosage so low that it either cannot reverse a disease, or it results in vitamin-deficient diseases. For example, the amount of folic acid recommended by the FDA in the past was so low that babies were born with neurological defects. The egg scare started because of studies with powdered eggs, but it was the fresh eggs that they said was bad for us. (Note that many nutritional doctors today recommend eggs to their patients, and butter instead of margarine.) The FDA has recently set a dose of 2,000 mg for Vitamin C based on studies which I suspect used poor quality vitamin C, for this seems to be their pattern. Dr. ing took 12,000 mg of natural Vitamin C daily, and I think Dr. Hulda also recommends Vitamin C from the same source Dr. ing used for her cancer patients. The most deceptive and successful scare to me is the fat scare. We heard a one-sided story of how bad fats are, but we were not told that unless we have enough essential fatty acids in our diet, we can have all manner of diseases. Certainly, we shouldn't eat man-adultered fats, fats contaminated with toxins, and high-heat-treated fats, but we need essential fatty acids. These essential fatty acids are needed for a healthy immune system, for the brain, for every single cell in our body!
Guest guest
Dear Jan (and all), When I started using Flax oil and cottage cheese as per Dr Johanna Budwig, I was already in remission, so cannot say that it helped towards actually 'curing' my cancer. I believe (in my gut) that although I'm in remission, the cancer is still there and I have to do all I can do to stop the sucker coming back. In other words I can't just sit back and say, " Oh! I'm cured! " because I think I will always have to be 'on guard.' Since this is slightly 'off topic' please go to the following web site where you'll find all the information you need to learn about this therapy. http://home.online.no/~dusan/diseases/cancer/cancer_dr_budwig.html By following the protocols of Dr Johanna Budwig and Dr Hulda , I believe (in my humble opinion) they've put me on the road to good health, because I feel GREAT! THE FLAX-OIL AND COTTAGE CHEESE PROTOCOL When you get to the web-site, print out the 9 pages full of information and how to's. Read the books by Dr Johanna Budwig, mine is called " Flax Oil as a True aid Against Arthritis, Heart Infarction, Cancer and Other diseases " .. Published by Apple Publishing Company Ltd. 220 East 59th Ave., Vancouver, BC, Canada. Tel (604)325-2888. ISBN 0-9695272-1-7 Also: " The Oil Protein Diet Cookbook " by Dr Johanna Budwig. Published by Apple Publishing Company Ltd. 220 East 59th Ave., Vancouver, BC, Canada. Tel (604)325-2888. 1SBN 0-9695272-2-5. This site explains how to mix the stuff, everything!!
