Here is another bit of info on niacin (one of the supplements

that URL I just sent) It discussed lung cancer (your brother).

In the event someone WANTED to eat food to get ONE GRAM of

niacin,

Below is a math run down on how much asparagus one would have to

eat to get that one gram of niacin:

(assuming a lot here: like the food really has all the parts per

million of niacin as following chart says it does, like the

niacin in the food is metabolized within the food eater's body,

etc.etc.)....anyway....doing a little math:

In the case of asparagus: It is listed as having

336 parts per million niacin.

We get the answer of 2976 grams by dividing a million

grams by 336, and we know that 28 grams= one ounce,

and 16 ounces = one pound

then if one ate 6.6# of asparagus, they'd ingest

one gram of niacin.

Seems juicing asparagus would be one way to ingest this?

Following database info on plants that contain niacin.

It is just the top 40. Be sure and notice the plant PART

that is listed as containing this.
