Guest guest
Just Google American Biologics. They are in Chula Vista. Guest guest
The short answer is YES - and this is possible through either a NHS or private doctor. I actually get a prescription (via NHS) from my GP because my NHS endocrinologist recommended that I needed natural desiccated thyroid extract. However, a lot will not give it, mainly because they have either the wrong information about it, or they refuse to prescribe any medicines that are unlicensed, and NDT remains unlicensed, but that is because it has been used successfully for over 110 years without any problems, so never needed to go through the New Drugs Licensing procedure - unlike synthetic levothyroxine which did because of the numerous potency problems in the past. I will send you a list of doctors who will prescribe either synthetic T4/T3 combination, T3 alone or natural thyroid extract privately. You will see there is one in Essex, if not two. Let me know if you are successful. Luv - Sheila I have a question. Is it possible to get a prescription for a dessicated thyroid in Essex? I have been on it for 8 years in Canada and also for a year in Hampshire. Now, living in Essex, I visited 3 doctors (1 of them an endocrinologist) and have been refused a prescription. I was prescribed levothyroxine and this does not go well with me. But, not having any choice I started to take it. My hypothyroidism symptoms started to return even though my T4 and T3 are " in norm " . So, I called my daughter in Canada and had her mail me some dessicated thyroid (she is also on it). I started to feel the difference within a few days...However, getting my pills this way is not practical. I wonder if there is any way to get a prescription for the dessicated thyroid in Essex? Your comments will be greatly appreciated.
