Guest guest
I also question the wisdom of oral ingestion of colloidal silver. I believe the oligodynamic effect of colloidal silver would have to harm your flora. I have not seen any evidence that it doesn't. Guest guest
No, Dr. did not change her mind. At http://search.netscape.com/ns/boomframe.jsp?query=chamberline+colloidal+silver & p\ age=1 & offset=0 & result_url=redir%3Fsrc%3Dwebsearch%26requestId%3Db0b9e34091f1fee%\ 26clickedItemRank%3D1%26userQuery%3Dchamberline%2Bcolloidal%2Bsilver%26clickedIt\ emURN%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.silvergen.com%252Fargyria1.htm%26invocationType%3\ D-%26fromPage%3DNSCPToolbarNS%26amp%3BampTest%3D1 & remove_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.si\ lvergen.com%2Fargyria1.htm you will find this statement by a guy who knows his colloidal silver: " The amount of silver required to develop Argyria is estimated [by the EPA] to be 3.8 grams per day. By comparison, standard 10 ppm colloidal silver contains silver in amounts equaling less than 1 milligram of silver (1,000 micrograms = 1 milligram; 1,000 milligrams - 1 gram), which therefore represents an amount approximately 1/500th to 1/1000th of the amount of silver considered to be a risk in the development of Argyria. " Most cases of Argyria reported in the medical literature over the last 100 years involved chronic intravenous or intramuscular use of the silver preparations, most often involving a silver drug prescribed by physicians which in most cases contained silver nitrate. Other cases of Argyria reported in the medical literature involve application of silver preparations used for many months or years in the treatment of the eye or vagina for certain diseases. We could not locate a single case of orally consumed colloidal silver manufactured in the last 25 years causing Argyria in our review of the literature. This is probably due to the low levels of silver contained in such preparations, since only very small amounts of silver are needed for its antiseptic effect. Guest guest
You know what I mean though, right? I thought *no metal* belonged in the body. I've just never seen in her books that she excepted silver from the rest of the metals. Re: Colloidal Silver - Oligodynamic Effect No, Dr. did not change her mind. Guest guest
Then, that would be an inference that one would need to draw. Leo --------------- > > You know what I mean though, right? Guest guest
I am not referring to Argyria(tissue discoloration). I am concerned with the harm colloidal silver would do to beneficial intestinal flora. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> > > > > > > Hi. Guest guest
I use advantage grapefruit seed extract. I think it does basically the same thing as colloidal silver. They all may harm a little beneficial intestinal flora, that's why you need to take a probiotic a couple hours after using them... rpautrey2 <rpautrey2@...> wrote: I am not referring to Argyria(tissue discoloration). Guest guest
In the early 1990's I read that grapefruit seed extract could sterilize a persons intestines. This was used as the logic for treating internal infections with it. Guest guest
Colloidal silver does not destroy good bacteria. > > > > > > > > > > Hi.
