Guest guest
Thanks so much for the post!!!!! The differing clays would make not only a great boredom buster, but a super home school art lesson in the varieties of clay that can be molded. Great ideas!!!! Guest guest
Add to body powders and facial scrubs & masks. Depending on the type of clay. White is good for normal/dry skin; while green for oily skin. Guest guest
Clay masks are also often used for the body masks. Just like in a high priced spa. I've also added some to my body scrubs. They are good for withdrawing impurities from the skin. Cate
Guest guest
Hi Lonie, I use clays for facial masks, as additions to various soaps and I use a little kaolin (china) in my body powders. I don't know of any other uses, but someone else may come up with other suggestions. Sydney Clays Howdy, Yall: I was wondering how you all use clay. I have a wonderful sample pack (From Nature with Love) and I would like to try new things with. I do not make soap. smiles, Lonie ___________________________________________ Melonie (Lonie) Mc loniemc@...
Guest guest
During certain times of the year, scarlet macaws of the Amazon jungles eat seeds that are toxic when they are green. During this time, they naturally flock to the clay bluffs and eat the clay which not only neutralizes the acid, but is an antedote for the toxins. Usually they are birds only found in pairs, but during the toxic season, they will gather by the hundreds to heal themselves on these cliffs. Other animals wallow in mud and clay, for various reasons. Insect repellant for one, but the muds also draw out toxins and help prevent sunburn for furless critters. I find it interesting that in nature, animals are attacted to muds and clays. (much like my sons have.....) --------------------------------- Blab-away for as little as 1¢/min.
