Guest guest
For the record, I support suggestions on dietary changes. The Western Diet is certainly one of our biggest enemies, especially the processed foods and the chemicals they contain that are available for very cheap prices. If you really get down to the point, Dr. emphasises the importance of detoxification as well as the fact that most of these toxins are from the very foods we buy at grocery stores as well as fast food joints. Are some of you alluding that Dr. says nothing about proper diet and nutrition intake? This is utter madness. Simply read any of her books, not scan through...but thoroughly read, and you will quickly see that our diets are one of the biggest things she is stressing needs changed. Unfortunately, most people are too quick to think of Dr. as simply blaming parasites for all diseases. This thinking is seriously flawed. According to Dr. , all diseases can be traced back to BOTH the parasite itself as well as the toxin/solvent that allowed it to migrate and find certain organs/systems and begin attacking it. Bottom line, the basis for disease is parasites and toxins working together in an under-nourished body. If we can reverse this with a strong parasite program, full body detox program, and nutrition program, we will have the necessary nutrients to support our immune response to take care of the parasites when they come and the elimination response to remove/convert toxins when they come. Until we address these, we will continue to be the only chronically ill species on the planet. Ken -- Re: Jeanne (Luigi, Duncan) Jeanne: As Duncan noted, I am getting better, but am nowhere near where I used to be when I was healthy. I literally laughed out loud when he wrote that my writing is clearer than a few years ago because it is so true. My brain was so fried. I am slowly making a come back as are my kids. After making Herculean (!!!) efforts for over 3 years, we are making progress but are still not " normal, " whatever that is. It can get very depressing. The original post upset me because I can tell you that diet and exercise are critical in this house. C-R-I-T- I-C-A-L. I totally agree with you that sometimes its important to use more than one treatment. Really that was my point: many of us need to try more than just what Dr. suggests because it's simply not enough. I am well aware of the SCD and think it's terrific. I really appreciate your response. Luigi, we are chelating, thanks. Heavy metal toxicity is just one of the many hurdles we have to overcome. I am definitely one of the offenders posting on this list about diets or other things people can try to get better because I know they've helped others. If I need to stop, I hope Leo will let me know. Thanks, Lorna
Guest guest
Ken, that was beautifully stated. I mentioned to someone else, that I could always count on the Dr. regulars to have the perfect arguments.
