Hey does anyone have any idea on boiling milk? It says in the book that you have to boil at least 10 seconds but it takes more then five min to get there .I did it and when I puy it in the refridgerator overnight it kind of had a buttery smell , does that means it's spoiled or what.I thought that when milk got hot after a while it spoiled.Has anyone done this ?

Cher, I boil heavy cream ( I need to gain some weight) the same as you did the milk except I add a little Hains sea salt as per Dr. . Then, after it cools a bit, I skim off the top, put in the fridge to cool down, skim again and put the ascorbic acid in it, put back in the fridge. I have not had any problem with it being spoiled. Through the years, I have heard that to boil milk made it curdle or spoiled it. One day, I brought the cream to a boil on too high of a heat and it seemed to have "spoiled it" , it was just not good tasting. So, I always make sure to slowly bring it to the boiling point. Would like to hear from others on this.

Phyllis!

That is a very good idea drinking cream to gain weight. I too am losing too much weight because I am on the Candida diet which is very restrictive... however, I cannot drink milk or any other dairy product due to the milk sugars.

Anyone have any suggestions on alternatives?? thanks
