Guest guest
Thanks Diane for the good info on the wormwood seed. I thought I tried contacting the Shumway people without success. I think the number was no longer valid or something prevented me from ever purchasing seeds from them. Did you get through to them or did you get your seeds elsewhere? Dear List: Regarding liver damaging effects of various artemesia: It seems that since we are taking charge of our healths we need to question everything and keep questioning until we fully understand, to our ability, who, what, why, how, etc. Someone said wormwood causes liver damage. It would be appropriate then to ask, " how did it cause liver damage? who came up with that conclusion? who did the testing? etc. " And answer these questions to the best of our ability. My reasoning was that there was probably indeed liver damage noted after using artemesia because the liver was getting clogged up from the artemesia killing parasites. But the liver is a regenerating organ, from what I understand, if you give it the right conditions (liver cleansing herbs etc.) I feel that it is irresponsible to take anyone's word for anything without first going through the reasoning process. This holds true for those of us who decide to use artemesia and for those who don't use it because of some info they read about it. I hope this makes sense; it does to me. My experience with liver pain began when I ate too many peach pit seeds (the seed that is inside the peach pit). I ate them because of some material I had read stating the poisonous chemical inside them (now I can't remember the name of it) was effective in preventing cancer (I reasoned that it must kill parasites). Sure enough in my experience, it started the parasite killing process. I don't recommend this though unless you like being a guinea pig and if you research it first. I think it's responsible for us to be aware of these options because who knows if it might come in handy one day. Diane, Regarding your question about irradiation harming our live plants when going through the mail system; I'm wondering how could it hurt them? Perhaps I missing something. The Dr. people at .net seemed to suggest that this irradiating was comparable or the same as zapping. I'd imagine that this irradiation juat gets rid of the microorganisms or macroorganisms and the plant is fine just as we are left fine after zapping. Perhaps it's the frequency area thing that Dr. talks of in her books; the only thing that dies is the organisms that are in the same frequency. I'm curious though; good question.
