Guest guest
Yes, xylitol has both antibacterial and antiviral effects. I actually use it for brushing my teeth, and gargle with it, and spray it in my throat and sinuses when I have any problems in those areas. It is used in spray formulations in other countries specifically for these purposes. Joy Lately I've been getting a herx reaction when I use Xylitol in my food in the head area . I'm wondering if anybody knows if Xylitol kills bacteria like Penicillin when eaten ??? The reason I ask is I had a stubborn throbbing pain behind my ear that seems to be going away too ... If this is true , that it kills bacteria like Penicillin I'm sure doctors would like to know this ...(not) Dan
