Guest guest
Gillian, not actually visiting Ireland. My husband lives there and I know all about the weather conditions, etcetera. Also, he has his own place, so no concerns about hotel prices and what not. Yes, I enjoy the tranquility of rural life (my husband and I have our house in the country) but for me Dublin city is a nice change. I like being able to walk everywhere I want to go and I can put up with the hustle and bustle for a while. I have already made plans to visit Mooncoin (where my maternal ancestors are from) and Tallagh (some of my husband's friends live out that way). My husband has made several good acquaintances in the past year and I also have several people whom I am looking up when I get there. I think everyone in Newfoundland knows someone in Ireland! LOL! I spent 8 weeks in Europe last year and actually never saw any of Ireland except Dublin. This 9 week stay coming up will be spent out and about the countryside, and we plan on getting to some other countries in the meantime. My rheumatologist also is giving me the name of a doctor in Dublin with whom he is acquainted and I can call if I need some medical assistance while I am there. I am very excited about going again, and I hope to be able to get around much better, considering the improvement in my arthritis. Maybe I will leave my cane at home....hmmmm. Something to think about. Ciao for now! Janet
