My son is 2 ½ years old and has sensory and self-regulation issues.

We started him quite a few months ago on Kirkman Enzyme Complete.

He seemed to be doing well, but at a friend's suggestion, we

switched him to Kirkman Maximum Spectrum Enzyme Complete (which her

DAN doctor had recommended for her son). My son ended up with very

loose, very green stool for over two weeks, although his mood and

behavior seemed better. Because of his frequent and horrible bowel

movements, we switched back to the Enzyme Complete about a week

ago. At first he seemed fine (and his bowel movements seemed

better), but in the past couple of days his hyperactivity has spiked

(he has been bouncing off the walls), his stool has become looser,

his hands are flapping like crazy, and he seems to get upset more

easily. I am considering switching him back to the Max Spectrum,

but I am not sure what the right move is. The dose he has been

getting is between a half and a quarter of a pill, two times a day.

He also takes Behavior Balance Liquid (high b's and DMG) and

Children's DHA (oil from Nordic naturals). He has been taking them

for months. I am just concerned about the green stool that he had

for so long with the Max Spectrum. Could that have been his system

cleaning itself out, or does that sound like a reaction to the pill

itself. I am very concerned because he is beginning camp, and I

don't want him to be dealing with these issues in a new environment

(behavior or bowel).

Also, once I do choose which enzyme is right, am I supposed to

slowly increase the dose, or stick with the dosage that seems to

work best?

Please…..give me some advice!!!
