I have been " giving " my 3 1/2 year old dd supplements and enzymes for

over two weeks now. She fights me every time. I finally stopped the

enzymes because it was really irritating the skin around her mouth,

chin and neck from spitting them out. It looks like diaper rash on

her face! I have her on the GFCF diet and have decided to just try to

sneak the enzyme onto her food when she has an infraction.

I have also been giving her various supplements. I can't say I have

seen a difference in her at all only because I doubt I'm even getting

half the dosage into her each time.

I have been doing this with her 3x a day for over two weeks. I have

to hold her down and give them to her with a syringe. It is so

traumatic for her. She screams and cries. I have tried everything.

Singing, rewards, talking to her, trying to make it no big deal,

mixing the supplements with differnt liquids. Nothing works. It

dawned on me today that I could be trying to feed her her most

favorite food in the world and she would still fight me just because

I am trying to put something in her mouth. She has been like this

since I started her on regular food at around 6 mos. She will not

tolerate an utensil. I can't mix it with juice since she will only

drink water. I just don't know what to do. I want to do everything in

my power to try to recover her but fighting with her 3x/day can't be

good for her. She wont even come near me for awile after we're done.

Should we take a break?
