Saw a message about Remicade and my experiance was ....I work for

General Motors and our health insurance is with BC/BS and our drug

program administered with Merck/Medco. My doctor has a Remicade

administator in her office three times a week to give patients the

infussions. I received all the literature and a tape to look at to

explain everything. My Dr prescribed it for me and it was Flatly

100% refused! They said it was not FDA approved for Psoriatic

Arthritis and therefor it couldn't and wouldn't be approved. fought

with them, got the Start Insurance commisiors office involved to no

avail..so I just gave up. It makes me and My doctor mad that the

insurance companies seem to be running the show now. And they are

REALLY dumbb. To show you... I've been on Monipril for about 11 years

and they have always paid it and I pay the co-pay. They desided about

4 months ago that it isn't in there " FORMULARY " so I was given an

alternative that just happens to be manufactured by Merk and they'll

pay for it but not the Monipril anymore. The Monipril was costing

them about $41.00 a month and the one they will pay for now cost them

$74.00 a month..You figure it.. Anyways have a good weekend :)...Mike
